What i would do is make the tunnels pure transport (rmove cannons ontop) and give them more space (for more units).
Second i would add more enter and exit points (instead of just one).

What i would do is make the tunnels pure transport (rmove cannons ontop) and give them more space (for more units).
Second i would add more enter and exit points (instead of just one).

but in doing this u would still need a timer on the sneak attack or on the rebel ambush or its just over power'd.
unless your talking bout just the nromal built base defence?

this topic is similare to some ideas I've had... atleast into the thaught of rebalancing stealth generals ambushes and tunnels.

1. the sneak attack tunnel will be available earlier... I think level3
2. there will be buildable ambush super weapons after the palace and tech2 center are built
3. I like the suggestion of expanding the capacity of the tunnel network.

Between now and the next polished release there should be very little new art work done. Instead the focus is on designing, testing, and fixing. the mod has always been so close to finished that its nearly criminal. I'd love to see this through to the end with a real community effort.

Well i posted this somewhere idk where cos i was tired and i guess it was missed or over looked.

Anyways idea for some infantry for gla.

Each GLA faction would get a 2 man team that move together carrying equipment for tasks suited to there factons use of military tactics.

GLA stealth gen.
While on the move these 2 men are visable but when u delpy them sandbags come up round them and tey become stealthed. They will set up there radio/radar jamming equipment and become an early warning outpost.
They will also act like a gap generator and have ecm waves messing with missile guidance so any missles fired that pass through this zone will lose lock and just go off somewhere or hit the ground or something.
Could possably be armed with a VERY light MG but i don' think it should have it.

GLA demolition gen.
Would get this Mobile grenade luncher it. It would only fire when deply as with the Stealth guys it would set up sandbags around them selfs. and become a LIGHT mobile base defence to be like a small forn in ones side
1 man carrying the tripod and ammo other carrying the grenade luncher, could make them stealthd on teh move but not stealthed while deply to give them a chanse to get into postion. Also upgradable with more explosive power.

GLA assult gen.
This team would get the same sort of mobile base defence as the Demo gen but with one differance, the weapon would Start as a small sized mortar like idk 60mm morta shell, but can be upgraded to be a bigger sized shell like a 120mm or something.. also has the choose between HE or HEAT rounds.

GLA toxin i still working on.
But i did think maybe the same as assult but with HE toxin shells and also a switch to change them to ONLY toxin so u can do damage with little toxin or u can saturate an area with tonix. But i rather something more uniqe

post idea's change suggestions to make this idea better.

I like the idea, but infantry modeling is aubsurdly harder than it should be because of the skelatal animations.

Making infantry is the same as building mechs...

I liked your idea for the Stealth GLA. Very good, but their gap range should be almost half of the radar van gap range, so the upgraded radar van still has some use. And no MG to it.

I say give the grenade launcher to Assault GLA, and only to it as i think it's too modern for the style of Demo GLA, who looks more like a scrap general.

To toxic gen, maybe a soldier like the virus from Yuri's Revenge. His rifle should kill the enemy in a toxic death, and spawn a small wandering cloud of toxin where the enemy died, and when other soldier die by this cloud, another cloud spawns, "contaminating" the area even more. When attacking tanks, just make a small wandering acid cloud.

To Demo GLA... Maybe some sort of heavy bazooka, where he shoots an medium missile. The missile uses the same logic of napalm shoot by the dragon tank, but instead of spawning a trail of fire, it spawns a trails of explosions. The result will be a ass kicking missile that keep exploding everything on it's path until it hits the enemy. Not big explosions or it will be overpowered. Give it a big delay before shooting and it will be ok.

toxin idea i like alot.
and the stealth gen i do agree on so the van has a use still.

Assult general i think should get the mortar myself they are an assult general artil kinda suit them Imo cos it would help them advance/assult.

the demo idea dose sound intreaging, but the Nadelncher thing i think would work also cos the nade luncher is not moden far from it ...
alot of them style nade lunchers are actuly pretty damn old.

If it is so cheap and powerfull then why don't to use it to own some AI players?

PS: I think next time you will come with a suggestion like this: "Remove an other unit because AI owns me anyway"

as i already said all the supwerweapons are powerful if you use them right learn to combat them or let them destroy u. BUT don't ever say somethings cheep or should be removed just because u lose to it.
Stop being a moron and actuly think. Spy drones, radar vans and so forth USE THEM!!!!

In fact, i love when the AI send me a nuke-truck and i fail to see it until it's too late. It gives that unit an instant fear reaction, as you know it will make a BIG loss for you when you kill it, and if you don't, the loss is even bigger. Very cool. :umad:

WOOOT! AMEN! AND HELL YEAH! Yes indeed this is the CORRECT answer. You jump a little inside when you see it comming and you HOPE SO BAD that your Fafnir can kill it without getting taken out in process... or maby you just try (futile, muhahaha) to run your fafnir away from it and attack it with our rocket guys (SquiShi!) NooOOOoo its still comming. The fafnir turns to shoot... much too late now and... awwww.... your not dead yet, but you know you just lost. (BTW the fafnir lives with 5 health, flaming and standing in a field of radiation in the middle of all your exploding dozers)

These are the gravy moments that the game is made of...


based on a true story. I defended my base for 25 minutes with only one fafnir while my lines were slowely eaten away suicide units and mortar buggies. Every unit I built was some kind of repair or support unit to keep the fafnir alive a few minutes longer. For about 5 minutes I had 2 fafnirs. While the old one was repairing the new one got nuke trucked and knocked be back down to 1 fafnir. I lost, but it was a hella lot of fun.

Is there a way to play a game were u can still play even if all ur buildings r gone cuz it would be more fun to try and survive with like 5 or so units running from the comp like in the old C&C games but this is just my opinion.

You can edit the victory conditions in the AI scripts.

Meh i think that victory condition should stay out. it would be anoying more than anything. Let see stealth gens super unit stealth while moving and attacking hides in corner and keeps moving randomly, and using small hit and run tactics.
Even with radar vans ect... that would be anoying to find and kill on large maps.


And i know all too weall that situlation pend, i was 1 on 1 hard computer.
Me = airforce general
Ai = Demo General.
As u all know they rank up faster than u, also are pretty much faster in reations as they can order the contrution vehicals and such to move and do mulit things while u can only select one worker and such at a time and 1 building to build thign at a time.

Anyways i set up 2 defence lines with a small checkpoint in them for troop movement, this was done basicly cos 95% of my force was air.
Anyways let just say my defence line held well with alot of aircover aswell, then computer hits rank 3.... i hold them but now i tanking some damage to my defence alot more from better units and demo trucks.
My defence holds out till they hit rank 5, i was about 2 mm away from rank 4 i beleave. Then the nuke trucks came and omg did i cry.... i had plains out on patrols all over the map and spy drowns and everything being deply asmuch as i could.
Low and behold some sliped by and my defence was taken out pretty sharpish.Tthen i had to try and hold there army and keep looking for nuk trucks. So i spamed thos tanks the Airforce gen had... MCV or watever they was called and i also spamed a mix of defenders and rangers. I managed to win some how.... i manged to get to rank 5 and get one fo the gen abiltys to hit them crippling the flow of units long enough for me to rebuild and gain mre funds as i was running DANGAROSLY low.
Also all let over aircraft(that had lived upuntill rank 5) was ordered into strike targets in the enermy base, all jets never made it back ... but i did hit a nuke truck leaving there base took out a fraction of it for me.

THAT WAS PURE LUCK that i pulled through that one. i was on the edge of me seat the whole time and meny times in that game i thought this is the end this is the end lol
