"See if you can't find me a PSP while you're there." said Gary
He was met with a number of exasperated looks. "Hey, I was just trying to lighten the mood. Seriously though, we'll want torches and batteries for them. Rope's always useful."
After a brief silence, Gary spoke again "Hey, here's a thought, probably won't come in that useful but hey. What if we got an RC car, strapped some C4 to it and drove it into the middle of an undead horde. The detonate it, obviously. That'd be fun. "

Niall responded, "Flashlights and batteries we'll need, but we probably won't need to loot a mall to get those. We're in a police station. I'm sure there's plenty. As for the rope, we will need to get that. And as for the C4," he smiled ever so slightly, "I don't think we could get any of that at the mall." He thought for another moment, then added, "Actually a PSP or something wouldn't be a bad idea. It would help keep our mind off the heavier things when we aren't doing anything else."

"Yeah," agreed Gina, i'm sure we could try and see whats left of the internet aswell, PSP's can do that can't they?So far we want: Backpacks and wash kits for eight people , torches for everyone, which we can get from the police station, aswell as head torches for ease of use, a camping stove with some gas bottles, perhaps a few melee weapons for everyone, anybody got any personal prefferences? Otherwise i'll just get machetes for everyone, an RC car if we can get one,aswell as some kind of explosive. About explosives, isn't there a way to get weedkiller and bleach mixed together in a way that explodes?Anyone here have any experience in explosives?Some fags and matches might be a good idea, aswell as some candles which wax we can use for waterproofing the matches, perhaps about 10 or so boxes of matches?A lighter and a deodarant can wouldn't go amiss aswell.Another good idea is a some bottles of bleach and a few bottles of ammonia containing glass cleaner, they make chlorine gas when you combine them, perhaps we could mix two bottles together and lob them out of our vehicle?"

"I'm all for that. So, thus far we have food, drink, pureification tabs, PSP, CD's, rope and C4. Well, possibly not explosives, I guess Niall's right, unfortunately. I don't suppose anyone knows of an explosives warehouse in the area?" Shrugs and blank looks followed.
"Nope, thought not. Bollocks."

((OOC: Whoo! 100 posts! Sorry. Just wanted to say i'm going on holiday to France until the 12th on Wednesday, might be on a bit tomorrow,but from the 2nd to the 12th I leave my person to Pastinator and his ineffable wisdom (which, unfortunately, he doesn't have. Oh well.) Happy zombie hunting everyone.))

"Gina, you're probably right about mixing household products to make explosives, but it's probably dangerous and not worth the risk. What if what we're trying to make blows up in our face? We don't have a hospital to go to any more. As for the internet, I doubt we could access it anymore, because power at the the internet service provider would be out."

"Yeah, he's right Gina, it's not worth the risk and as for the internet, that was just plain dumb! Who would be manning the power stations?" Said harvey in a condescending tone.

"Don't worry about it Gina, you didn't know. Anyway," he yawned, and continued, "I'm getting a bit tired. I think we should get some rest, and we can leave tomorrow, if that's okay with everyone?"

"Yeah, it is, just a quick note, who is doing what? Titus, Harvey, Regina and Gary will go get the Vehicle, and when they come back they will have a rest and the others will go to get supplies from the mall, am i right?"

"Yeah. And when we go to the mall," Niall fully grinned for the first time since the outbreak, held up his weapon, and said, "I call shotgun."
((OOC: I hope that's not just American slang...if you don't know what shotgun is, it's the front passenger seat))

OOC: no, i think its crossed over, i live in england so i'm going to hit the sac, tommorow i'm going to start a new thread about the trip to the garage, you will be doing nothing for a while so how about some character development, explain the story of you and whatnot, perhaps have a conversation with Gina...?

"Alright, well if it's all settled, I think I'll find a place to sleep now. Maybe one of the temporary holding cells. They have beds, right?" He walked down the hall and wandered around until he found the holding cells, found one that was unlocked, proceeded to lie down on the bed, and slowly drifted off to sleep.

IC:"Well, if you get a PSP, I want a DS Lite."
Titus' comment was met by critics.
"Wait. I just got a brilliant idea. At the mall, if they have any there, grab a Nintendo DS for everyone. They could serve as interim communication devices if we can set up some wi-fi hubs and generators. And no, I wasn't kidding," Titus says to the snickering group.

((OOC: Uh, I'll assume you said this before Niall went to bed, because that was when we were talking about PSPs))
"Titus, I don't know too much about the DS and Wi-Fi and whatnot, but wouldn't you need the internet for Wi-Fi to work? I think we should just stick with handheld radios for communication. I'll grab a few DS's anyway, if you want me to, just to keep you entertained."

**The next morning. Titus, Regina, Harvey, and Gary have left for the garage, and Niall and Gina are in the break room, eating**
Niall was eating a Twinkie from the vending machine. Not much of a breakfast, but it was better than nothing. When he was done, he balled up te wrapper and threw it at the wastebasket, missing. He looked at Gina. "So, Gina, what was it you did before this all started? I can't remember if you mentioned it before."

"No, i didn't" Gina paused to gulp down some M+Ms, "I had just finished college and was going clubbing and stuff whilst trying to get a job. I used to go to lots of low-key gigs aswell, you know, unknown bands?" Gina tipped her head back and swallowed the remainder of the packet, "yeah, well, the drummer for one of those bands got a bit of money on the side by selling some weed to those at the gig's, so there i was buying some when Mr 'Super-Cop' Harvey Jones comes in and arrests the guy. it turns out he was also dealing some harder stuff, coacaine and all that, 'cuz i was there at the time i got arrested aswell and he dragged our asses back to the police station. On the way some guy was being assaulted on the street so harvey went up to take a look at it. It turns out he was one of the infected and bit the drummer. Me and Harvey legged it back to the police station and found it abandoned, so we holed up for a while till Harvey told me he got a radio message. We forwarded it on and here we are." Gina finished her story smiling. "So, what about you?"

Niall nodded, then said, "I guess I should tell my story now, huh?" Before Gina could answer, he began,"I graduated from high school, uh,a little over two years ago now, I think. I went to college for a year, but then I dropped out. I decided I wanted to see the world, you know? I didn't want to stuck in a boring job my whole life. Well," he paused at this point, because the next part would be painful, "I was with a girl. Lilith. We were in love, and we traveled across the country for about a year. Then a month ago, she..." he trailed off, not wanting to continue. He looked away. "I'm sorry. I can't talk about this. Not yet." He regained composure somewhat, then said, "Do you think that whoever's still in charge after this disaster, the military or whatever, is working on a cure? That's all I living for now. All I hope for is a cure, so I can find her, and everything can be okay."

[Pastinator]

"Yeah, i hope so too, don't worry about it, you said you were travelling the country with her right? And if you didn't have any money or anything surely she's able to look after herself, it might not be as bad as you think." Gina started gabbling and just gave him a benevolent look, she knew that she had probally not helped at all by gabbling on, but she meant well and that look showed it. Trying to make up for it she reached across the table and gave him a motherly hug.

Niall accepted the hug. "Thanks Gina, you might be right. If she found a place to hole herself up like I did, she'll be fine," Niall smiled lightly, "I guess we just have to hope for the best. Hope is what we need the most right now, I think."
