I would actually postulate that an AT rifle would be more harmful to the Germans than a Sherman. Purely for the fact that the infantryman is harder to hit and can probably hit harder, and in the more vulnerable locations. Therefore it could also be postulated that the Allied forces (particularly America) would lean more towards infantry (also because they arguably had higher quality standard-issue riflemen) while the Germans and Russians are busy tank rushing eachother :)

Could I also hint for a response on the idea that some of the sides' AT units had to deploy to fire their main AT weapon, while others might fire 'on foot', as it were? I imagine the way a PIAT gun was designed was to be fired from a prone position, whereas a bazooka guy could stand, fire, and run like hell...
So, what are plans for this sort of setup? I know I spieled all that stuff off earlier, but I too am interested as to how equivalent units square up. Power-wise, I don't imagine difference to be all that great, but utility would be the key bone of where one side surpasses another.

I cant say about them deploying atm, I would very much like to do something like that but I’ve enlisted the help of Spiderman to make the infantry & he doesn’t really have the time to animate lots of deploying anims but you could say we are still negotiating things tho :)

Some of them make no sense at all, like the T-34 Flakpanzer.

This is a mod where each nation builds their own equipment, hell, has there been anyscreens to suggest otherwise? See any Soviet lend-lease Valentines or French M4s?

Capturing with TS hijacker code is one thing, but why would a Russian tank with a field modification come out pristine from a German warfactory? Assume you're map is Paris and it's a 1v1 of the Americans vs the Germans. Now, why on Earth would the Germans mod a T-34, which they only picked up in 1941/2 because they had nothing at the time to match it, aaaalll the way out to France, yet alone modded into something a Whirblwind would make obselete anyway, just to fight the Americans. Listing it as a production unit makes about as much sense as having Japanese captured M4s in the roster or giving the Maus to the Russians because they're the ones who ended up getting it.

It boggles the mind. Why would anyone post something so ridiculous in the first place, yet alone with a list made by just openning wordpad and copypasting every name you can find on little second class tank information sites? What possible reaction could one expect? Does Universal actually think that after years of pulling the same smarter-than-thou-via-obscurity bullshit about WWII vehicles we'll just magically accept all his offerings and e-suck him to rapture over it.

This is proof that sometimes Darwinism takes too long to kick in.
Being a total douche.

I wasn't sure if the Red Stone rocket could be included because it only began to be operational in 1958.

I’m not going to approve any more of your posts until you start giving me reasons why I should add the stuff you have suggested. I already know about all of these & have consider adding them before but I rejected pretty much all of them so you have to convince me I was wrong to do so if you want to see them in D-day.

The RedStone rocket pioneered the first long range missiles for the Americans along with the R-5 (soviets). The KS-19 and KS-30 were excellent aa guns that became obsolete with the advant of aa missiles but had excellent height and muzzle velocity.

Between ourselves, Mig, you just shouldn't approve any more of his posts, period. Sooner or later he just has to get the impression you:
a) Don't care what he has to say.
b) Don't want him around. Ever.
c) Are not alone in a) and b).

Get a clue, DAA. 1955 is the final year D-day will depict. Not 1958, not 1959, but 55. Seriously...doesn't D-Day have enough units, or do you have some sort of infatuation? I think Mig oughta sue you for bloody harrassment.

Well you replied quick Ash o_0

I was just going to point out the 1955 cut off too & say that I’m using the S-25 SAM system so both the flack guns are "obsolete". Also one sentence isn’t much of an argument for me too add them, try a paragraph or two & maybe you’ll get some brownie points...

Why are you encouraging it to post, MiG? :p Surely it is better for it to go away...like, far away and let you do what you do best instead of mollycoddling you with worthless unconstructive requests? :)

I think it is a good thing that MiGEater does not include every single unit any idiot comes up with. He has already said that he had to make over seven hundred units! And if he is going to include some new units, why include those that serve the same purpose, instead of those that are interesting and unike? There are many interesting units that people can easily recognize:

Mine Dog: We all know this liddl' wee doggy.
Molotov Cocktail Projector: A weapon that shoots Molotov Cocktails 120 meters.
Japanese Submarine Aircraft Carrier: A submarine that carries an airplane armed with incinerary bombs. (Ironic.) Dropped four on the US, making it the only hostile military action on US soil during WWII, and, as far as I know, since the Civil War.
Danish Nimbus AT and AA Motorcycles: An motorcycle carrying an AT gun flanked by several motorcycles with AA guns.
Motorcycles!
Tons of towed ordenance!
Polish horsewagon MG: A MG carried in a wagon pulled by four horses.
Cavalry!
The Poles!
Italian Manned Torpedo: A torpedo like vessel manned by two scuba divers that planted explosives on British ships.
Norwegians!
Greece!
Netherlands, Belgia, Ethiopia!
Rumania and all the other Axis Minors!
British/Nepal Ghurka!
Reindeer pulled sledges!
The Finnish!
Ski Troops!

The list of possible additions is endless! If MigEater was to include everything, no one would be playing RA2 by the time he finishes. And no one would know what a computer is when the download completes.
If you want any of the hundred billion possible additions, there are three options:

1 Make a mod yourself.
2 Play Advanced Squad Leader*
3 Shut up and wait for D-Day. It is going to be great anyways!

~MCV

*In this game, everything I have mentiones (EXE: #3 & #10) is included.
