Quoted for the truth. ;)

I'll let someone else answer this one, but I'll take a wild guess anyway: an experience boost perhaps?

For Galadriel: i think it is a experience and armor bonus.
For Glorfindel: That actor was for the LOTR trading card game that came out awhile ago. Any character that wasnt in the movie was given someone. This just happened to be the person who had Glorfindel.

Actually, that is not the exact picture I used. However, I will not use it for a number of reasons:

- that picture is rectangular, and the palantir is circular, so it will still be cut off.
- the image quality is lower than the one I use
- the image is cut off too much at the top, meaning that the palantir will cut off most of his forehead.

Glorfindel is good as he is, changing Palantir photo is not necessary IMO.

BTW, how's with AI?

unless magic.... AI's not... if he adds elven AI to a map, another AI get's corrupted... ie, if he adds the AI to Pelargir, another AI won't work, ie Mordor... No idea why though..

Yeah... I thought I had turned off that power for that mission, but apparently not. I'll probably give him a new power just for that mission (a power I'll probably be adding to him fully in TLT).

Or you could even make it so that Celeglin doesn't even come in on that mission and then Celeborn automatically uses that spell when he comes on. That's probably harder though.

It's a whole lot easier to just turn off the summon.

Thought so. What are your ideas for the new power? Also, I was thinking, maybe the Sentinels could have like a hiding ability that lasts for about 10 seconds. So when they're discovered by the enemy, they could just disappear from their eyes and run for safety. Call it the Gift of Thranduil or something.

HI, I just installed Elven allience, and it's great, especially for a beta. Anyways, I was if someone would be willing to go through the painful detail of explaining to me how to mod Gil-Galad into the game. Please explain it in laymen's terms, since I'm not great with computers. Also I'm sure you already know this but the mirkwood scout that cost fifty says the responses of a gondor soldier. One final thing, I know it might take some work but I think it would go along way to make the defensive structures have gold leaves and then give other structures green leafs, this includes the walls for the castles. It is kinda hard to tell what is what. Great Job though. :p .
Sincerely,

Do you mean like making them Mallorn trees? I think someone mentioned that before, and it got turned down, not sure though.

Hello MasterSilver, really happy you're enjoying the mod.

A) I'm quite sure someone wrote out a full guide to adding Gil-Galad somewhere on these forums. I'll look around and post the link for you.

B) Yes, I know the Sentinels have Gondor Archer voices. I don't have a voice actor for them yet.

C) The colour scheme for the Elves foliage is going to stay as green for this iteration of the mod. Part of the point in having the Flets look just like normal trees is to give that moment of confusion when a non-AI player is coming at an Elven castle. I just don't want the Flets to "stand out", as that is essentially what they aren't supposed to do :p .

I noticed a couple of things today. Gothmog's left arm isnt crippled standing, but is on the warg. Also, when I clicked on an allies Ugluk, I could see writing in the top left corner.

That's because he doesn't use his left arm at all in the Warg animations. I couldn't be bothered to mess with the model enough to make his arm really crippled for both (not the focus of the mod).

Also, when I clicked on an allies Ugluk, I could see writing in the top left corner.

It happens whenever you click on your own Ugluk as well. It's because his Leadership commandbutton is ****ed for no apparent reason.

I ave a suggestion to make, that alot of people will probably agree to.
In the movie, aragorn, legolas and gimli (and the hobbits) can ride horses. I was wondering if you could give all the fellowship members (except sam and frodo of course) the ability to ride horses (or ponies/ ridind with others for hobbits). for example, could you get legolas and gimli to ride together, by one of them (PROBABLY legolas) to mount first, then the other, if you want him to, joining (like combining 2 battalions). legolas could fire, and gimli close range. This would be very helpful, especially with rohan, where almost every unit except the heroes can ride, while the heroes get left behind on foot.
Thx, James P-B.

PS, I probably wont check this site very much, so could yoiu email me on jamesp_b2003@yahoo.co.uk, or just post as part of info on the elven alliance site.
Thx loads.

First of all, there were only short scenes in which they rode: Rivendell, Helm's Deep, and another I think. Just because they rode then doesn't mean that they always should. Secondly, just about everyone (with the exception of Dwarves) knew how to ride. So you can go ahead and give Elrond, Celeborn, and many others a horse with the statement that you provided. And third, Legolas is with the Elves now, so him mounting with Gimli is nigh impossible.

Sorry if I sound a bit too forceful, but that's the truth of the matter.
