What?? These elves are way better than BFME2 elves, and like I always say BFME2 is a terrible game. And Celeglin started this before BFME2 came out ;)

the rest of the battles are great, BUT MAKE THE BLACK GATE HARDER! I didn't even use the army of the dead and I pushed them back to the edge of the map without trying. Just made an attack order forward. When you got level ten heros and two FU armies it tends to be easy. MORE TROLLS, MORE MUMIKS MORE ORCS! MORE TIME! MORE BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!!! GRR; it should be the hardest most intense mission in the game and it isn't, it is the most easy.

I actually agree with him. After playing Helm's Deep and Minas Tirith, The Black Gate was just disappointing. It really needs to be a LOT harder.

Did you edit the map at all? It doesn't seem like it, the troops you're able to gather end up being superior tenfold to the enemy. Which isn't the idea at all.. heh

I believe I edited the map to make it harder. I'll look into it though and adjust it accordingly for the next version. :p

is it an idea to make it impossible for the player to advance beyond the black gate? that is the major reason I always encounter, since I put all my heroes behind the gate, with all my archers and just let them kick ass.

I agree this should be the most difficult battle in the game. Period.

What's wrong with having Mordor throw EVERYTHING at the player. Nazgul, maximum rank trolls, orcs, mumakil, hardrim, soldiers of Rhun, most of the spellbook powers, and with twice the waves and twice the size of each wave? :p

Oh, and of course make the timer for reinforcements, and Frodo getting to mount doom 2-3 times as long. ;)

But that doesn't mean they all need to be on screen at once, the wave could just last longer. ;)

Lag issue? I don't think there will be much of an issue in comparison to Minas Tirith. The map itself isn't large enough to support enough units to cause extreme lag.

Gandalf and Theooden; two factions best hero's will just kill everything. I don't even think Gandalf had his staff in that part during the movie
And most importantly... THEODEN WAS NEVER AT THE BLACK GATE. Theoden should be dead, end of story. Gandalf should at least not have wop if he is to be nerfed(only for the BG mission of course).

Why don't orcs and trolls ever flank you? The flank attacks I do see are with little amount of orcs and at wide angles(meaning they are easy to shoot.)

Not all solutions to fixing this level are one's to make it harder by spasming more troops if lag is a worry.

I'll see what I can do.

Hmmmm... Theoden will be removed from the mission. Don't know if I will change Gandalf though. I like using WOP in the Black Gate mission. :rolleyes:

Yeah, if he survives minas tirith he should go to the black gate. If he dies, you suck.
As a matter of fact, I've been toying with the thought of not being able to revive heroes :rolleyes:
