Yes also to new heroes, but not many. I would like to see Sharku, possibly Grima, as well as Horseback Nazgul and Mouth of Sauron. Although I do know you have to take balancing into account. I know you also mentioned doing Ellohir and Elladan.

I suppose that adding a lot of heroes would bring loads of balance problems. Mounted Nazguls and Grima maybe, that's enough for me. And some new heroes after expanding the Elves.

Umm... Matias isn't in charge of saying who can use what from RA in other mods. That would be Dain and Nertea (unless I'm asking for Matias's stuff in particular, in which case I'd still have to go through the other two as a final check). I realize you said "et al", but Dain's running the show there, and Nertea's in charge of art assets.Yes to reskinning, and if you dont have time, you could borrow from RA if Matias et al are ok with that.
Grima and the Horseback Nazgul are higher up on my "list of heroes I might try" than Sharku and the Mouth of Sauron. Thanks for realising that I'm putting balance far above adding in new heroes (and also for your wonderful grammar and punctuation ). See you around!Yes also to new heroes, but not many. I used to play a mod with at least 20 new heros, and there were no inbalances. Except that the Elven heros were way too powerful.
Are tower guards at the top of the reskin list?
normally with mods the more heroes the less balance, other than those who spend time to make in balance (TEA).
Cel will most likely, at one point, reskin all the units, or at least the good ones

I read the Installer, and did everything it said to do.
When the game crashes, a pop-up window appears, saying that a severe error was made in the uploading process, and it will not let me play the BETA.
Can someone please help me out here?

Um...for some reason, whenever I try and upload "The Elven Alliance BETA" from my desktop, the game crashes on me.

You need:
- Battle for Middle-Earth (not BFME II)
- Patch 1.03
- You may have to uninstall any other previously downloaded mods (some mods are BAD and don't allow you to play any other mods)
- If all else fails, uninstall BFME, delete everything in the Battle for Middle Earth ™ folder, reinstall, repatch, then install the mod again.
- Make sure you use The Elven Alliance icon to play the mod, not the normal BFME icon
- If you get an error on the skirmish menu, this is because your skirmish profile has information from another mod that conflicts with The Elven Alliance. To fix this, go into your My Battle for Middle-Earth folder (Should be C:\Documents and Settings\YOURACCOUNTNAME\Application Data\My Battle for Middle-earth Files) and move YOURNAMEskirmishstats file out of this folder (move it somewhere for safe keeping, this is your skirmish stats information).

However, whenever I try to search for new updates when I put the disc(for B4ME 1) in, it says there are new updates. I let it download them. However, after several minutes, it says "File not Found."
Also, I do not, repeat, do not have any other mods installed.
I hope that help clarrify some things.

I think it may have somethin' to do with the 1.03 patch, I've done everything mentioned there, except that. I-rather arrogantly-assumed my copy of the game came with it already downloaded, and obviously I was wrong.

have you ever modded bfme, yourself, or had mods on it? As this happened to me before 1.03 came out and i had the elvenstar mod installed (CURSE YOU ELVENSTAR) and it would not patch the game. i deleted the mod and it still would not patch. i had to uninstall the game and delete the root folder of bfme as that mod corrupted one of the files when i patched the game.
and it happened again later when i tried modding the game myself and i used patch 1.02 ini with patch 1.03 (but this was my fault)

No. I don't even know what the content in the Elvenstar Mod is, to be honest.
It's right here: http://mevault.ign.c...ds.Detail&id=29.
