Wow. That was fast. I only made it to page 8. :p

Pity though. Still, Erkenbrand and Elfhelm are awesome too :thumbsupsmiley:

Edit: Hah! new page.

I'd go with 2d3, 3d6, 1/2d7, 1d10, 14d12, 8d20, 13 quarters, and a groundhog.

I'm not sure if you'll need all that, but if you figured out a system from it, it would be the greatest in the world.

I know :thumbsupsmiley:
Actully, I just typed in page 23 at the bottom there and it was right there

Yeah, the reasoning behind that is that they did more during the WOTR then Theodred did(if you didn't read the section  )

I wanted to be the first on the new page :p

Ok, this is getting borderline spam, and I promised adummy I wouldn't do that (too much  )

Ha! Fair enough.

So... if Forlindon bows get to shoot while moving, is it at least plausible to say that Rohan will get similar treatment?

And the fact rohan was not known for it's archers, and shooting a bow while going up and down would require some skill (or alot).
So it makes sense that only the elves would be good at it. :thumbsupsmiley:

Oh the humanity!

But really, and, I'm saying this from the movies, when Merry and Pippin are escaping from the Uruk Horde, and Eomer and his riders attack them, it shows 2-3 riders shooting bows while in motion... Just saying :thumbsupsmiley:

Oh, right, I forgot about that......I need to come up with a better reason.......

Ok, here it is. Only a couple are able to do that, not enough to form batts :thumbsupsmiley:
Or they can do it, but they have to be really close or else they would be horribly inaccurate......

You know, looking at my member #, and then at Kyrivan's, I start to feel really old, like I've been here forever :p
And then there's adummy

yes, speaking just about the movies, Rohan could do it. But this was to give something special to the elves. That is the main reason the elves will have it and Rohan won't. In fact, the elves may lose this if Cel can't make it work well/balance it.

but than i'd suggest you would change it.

Rohan horse-archers = shooting while moving

forlindon bows = shooting while standing still.

in the movie the rohan horse archers of eomer did it that way.
and they are the great great horsemen.

and the post that was deleted was me wondering why you're calling me a parrot, Elven

No, because the Forlindon bows are supposed to be elite units (I think they are Noldor after all), so they would have that ability, while Rohan's are just mounted archers :D

......He deleted my post too.......

TLT will come out when Celeglin is done with it :ninja:

Maybe there shouldn't be a siege hero but a siege unit...

No, right now Elven siege is very unique and works very well once you get it to the point you need to.
Eriador might have a siege unit in TLT, but that's only a slight maybe, but defiently not it TEA.

gone and done, eh? :D

anyways, I think that an elf that's trained a couple of thousands of years would be more experienced than men in their 20-40 years practice :ninja:
I'd like to see them both have it, but the FB are a much better choice than RA ;)

But if they both had it, then the Forlindon bows wouldn't really have anything special about them. So there :D

Ohhh.... I just got what Lauri was talking about...... I hate typos....
Fixed :ninja:

Fair enough, I suppose, but it seems to me they should get something else special. Horseback archers don't scream "Elven" to me, personally. :D

*But,* I can't think of anything that would fit, so this'll work. Beggars can't be choosers. :ninja:

Just to be picky: Eriador probably won't have a siege unit, but Rhovanion definately will...in some form.

Well, unless Celeglin has come back and announced that the Handmaidens of Galadriel won't have the 'Roots of Wrath' (whatever it's called) ability, then it's definately Rhovanion that has a siege unit. :p Check the first post of The Last Twilight thread: Celeglin mentions that the Handmaidens are gonna be half siege unit.
