yeah, and it shoots trees too :)

duh... anyways, that is a fair enough idea, but I don't know if Wood Elves really fit "real" siege..... machines. Their more of a nature faction  like, they could summon the uber elven wood to destroy anything above, making it fly like a butterfly without wings that goes 50 mph... :p but, you can't take spells in the bases... darn.. ;) well, I think they should rely on nature to do something... but don't they have Galadriel? or, if you do this, aren't they going to get Gally? ;)

EDIT: arg, gotta read through the topic before I post stuff like this again :p
Rhovanion, or the wood elves, is the ideas above for..... or, ideas and ideas.. heh... well, dunno about the western elves though, they could have machines....

It's certainly another possibility I've entertained.

Guess no one likes my idea :(
The machines might be good, but since everyone's is sort of blocky, the elves' could have curves and arches, etc.

Lauri, that was......out there...... :p

I'm not just saying that to get in your sig ;)

yup, that's why we're trying to stay on topic, and Elvenlord spoils it :thumbsupsmiley:

anyways, for those who didn't understand me, I though you were talking about machines for the wood elves, the Rhovanion faction, but you weren't, and I didn't want to rewrite it all, but what the heck, Cel understood it, so that's fine by me :p

Actually, I was just ignoring you :thumbsupsmiley:. I was saying that the giving a siege weapon to Eriador would be a possibility. lol

well, I did say that too though.... :thumbsupsmiley: so I'll think that you understood me :D other than that, I didn't say anything useful exept the part that Rhovanion should rely on nature :p

I feel sooooooo unloved :(
So, Erador might get a machine while Rhovanion relies on nature

Rhovanion should rely on nature

I was thinking about this on the train ride into school (lol, good old long commute, what would I do without you?). I've come up with the idea of enhancing the usefulness of Galadriel's Handmaidens and turning them into a semi-siege unit. I'd give them a special ability that calls vines out of the ground and do damage to buildings/walls/gates (ability name being "Prayer to Yavanna"). The vines wouldn't be nearly as powerful as Bruinen, Throw Down its Walls, or Light of the Noldor, but having multiple handmaidens would solve that deficiency. Furthermore, you would be able to combine a handmaiden with a battalion of infantry units so they could defend her, and she'd of course have her healing radius.

How does that sound to you guys?

Awesome!
But, wouldn't their ability go away if you combine like formations?
Unless you can code

I can't think of any two-handed one that would be suitable for Elves. How about Gimli
[/quote]
Right now, Gimli is at the top of the list for animations. However, though I can easily fix the scale issue, Gimli's skeleton is rather squat... I should be able to modify this, but I'm not sure. We'll see.

Wait, doesnt the Haradrim lancer have a close range animation where he stabs the lance with both hands? How about that for the animation for the Mirkwood spears?

Haradrim anims = some of the ugliest anims in the game. Stupid pelvic-thrust-run. And besides, I'm looking for a more active style of fighting for the Mirkwood spears, rather than just "stabba stabba". Thanks for the suggestion though.

That sounds.... great! ;) in fact, it sounds awesome! :p And the thingy about combining hordes, you just make a new commandset for it, and that is easy :)

And Cel, MSN didn't wanna talk to you, and the CP doesn't lower when you combine hordes :D they stay the same :p
