what you need to do is think up names and put them together like 1st parts e.g piercing, barbed, magical, mithril, glowing .... and then of and then a place or something similar which would fit, mithril, lothlorien, rivendell, mithlond... the possibilities are endless just choose one :p or you could say crafted or something

So going by what you're saying, 'Mithril Arrows of Mithril' would be a suitable name, right? :D :p

What about elven arrows?

No offense, but were you actually being serious?

also depending on the faction of elves it could change. e.g bows maybe?

Again you remind me of a discussion that we had earlier in this same thread (stop reviving old discussions! :p), but you've raised a very good point.

In the films, Galadriel's gift to Legolas was a Galadhrim bow (presumably made of the wood of a Mallorn tree, which is damn good quality wood). Now seeing as the Galadhrim use longbows and the Mirkwood folk use shortbows (I've done my research on this ;)), and their both in the same faction (Rhovanion), then why not have Mirkwood eventually upgrade to the longbows of the Galadhrim (i.e. 'Mallorn Bows')? This way the ranged upgrade of Rhovanion will be more unique, and you would have more possibilities such as a range and a damage boost (which would be ineffective against Ents and structures, but Rhovanion has other units to do those jobs). Please tell me I've (I mean, Duplo V2 and I :p) solved the upgrade problem! :p

with the ents? i think your venturing too far from lotr, i mean elves fighting ents??????????????????????? jebus christ(or yavanna?) what have the elves done to the forest eh??? who would pit elves against ents there practicly friends! if the elves are having ents they can use there ents to fight ents although its unheard of!!!!! shocking !!!! stupid!!!! MADNESSS!!!!!!

Relax, there's a reason we discussed Ents. What would happen if you want to play online as Rhovanion against someone else who has TLT installed, and they want to play as Rhovanion (or Rohan) as well. How would you be able to counter Ents, seeing as fire arrows are their main weaknesses? Understand? ;)

Wow, that's really a really creative idea for Rhovanion's bow upgrade-suits them fine and would probably look cool as well!
For Eregion, I could picture them retaining the Fire Arrows upgrade, but taking away its effectiveness towards units. Perhaps another balance change would be to lower their rate of fire?
One more thing ;) maybe an alternative upgrade (non-fx) could be something like 'Eons of Training', which would give them a rate of fire and slight damage increase..
Cheers,
-mike :)

Eons of Training would be cool, but I don't think there would be enough room on the Palantir for all those upgrades. And the Banner Carrier upgrade has already filled that role, sorta (at least the damage part, as far as I know).

too late, someone has already used eaons of training in a mod,

WOW,:xd: i didnt know much about what i was saying at first orloin, but im glad you pointed that out :xd:

also mithril was a thing you could use on both but not both at the same time, that i thought you'd work out:mellow:

so then lets agree. bows of the golden wood? upgrade and for the other elves arrows of mithlond?

i don't want to start an argument. we'll just wait until celegin gets internet :xd: and he'll say
imposssible to code idea sentinals can sabotage buildings so they stop producing resources and troops for a while. and orc labourers, peasants gondor? /rohan can fix em up n running again quicker, and so can sentinals

Note the :xd: next to that sentence. It means I'm joking 9.5 times out of 10. :xd: Anyway, what are your thoughts on Mallorn Bows?

Oh, we're not really deciding on it... actually we can't decide on anything seeing as it's Celeglin's mod. :xd: All we can do is hope that he uses our ideas. :xd:

I love it when people can't be bothered to read...

From your other thread:

1. A new TEA was planned. It was called The Last Twilight.

WAS = never finished, not much progress, never will be finished etc.
