Agreed, Wont be buying one.I'd prefer to not buy and play the same games over and over again. Hence my choice to never buy any nintendo platform.

See:
What's that I hear? Colin McRae 7, Tekken 6, Gran Turismo back in a 6th and 7th rendition, Socom 4, Metal Gear Solid 4. Warhawk, just like you could play on the Ps1, but with worse motion sensitive contoller support! I'm sure I can't neglect the 10th Need for Speed either, a 17th Tom Clancy game in the form of the 6th Rainbow Six, or the 11th Tony Hawk's title.
Alone in the Dark 5
Armoured Core 4
Burnout 5
Devil May Cry 4
Phantom Saga 5
Generation of Chaos 6
Virtua Fighter 5
Soul Caliber 4
Battlefield: Bad Company, and a surprise un-named Battlefield game.
Another Mortal Kombat
Another Wipeout
Any my favourite series of announced games, all to hit the Ps3 - NBA '07, NBA 2k7, NBA Live '07, NBA Street '07 and NBA '08.
Yep, definitely not playing the same old games as we've seen before on the almighty Playstation 3, with an extensive game catalogue like that one, and a wonderful slew of great looking, original and exclusive intellectual properties.

OLD SIG
When history witnesses a great change Razgriz reveals itself,
first as a dark demon. As a demon it uses it power to rain death upon the land,
and then it dies. However after a period of slumber Razgriz returns
As the demon sleeps, man turns on man.
Its own blood, and madness soon cover the earth.
From the depths of despair awaken the Razgriz.
Its raven wings ablaze in majestic light.
Amidst the eternal waves of time
From a ripple of change shall the storm rise
Out of the abyss peer the eyes of a demon
Behold the Razgriz, its wings of black sheath
The demon soars through the dark skies
Fear and Death trail its shadow beneath
Until Men united wield a hallowed sabre
In Final Reckoning, the beast is slain.

And I LOVE it!
It's addictive - highly innovative and works impressively well!
By far the newest wind in gaming industry as of yet!

Exactly. PS3 games are totally original, they never port games to their other consoles like the PSP and they're ALWAYS TOTALLY ORIGINAL. Got to remember that.
I think he was getting at the idea that the selection of games will be limited...there's not likely to be much scope for third-party developers, due to the crazy controllers etc.
But I agree, yearly update games are the suck. Surprised Pro Evo 21 wasn't mentioned tho.

Alot of reports of PS3s being traded for Wiis and of PS3s sitting unsold in shops in the US.

I call it the pos3 not so much because it's really a piece of sh...crap but because Sony has basically shot themselves in the foot with many of their policies and announements pre-release. They ticked off a lot of people and it's showing.PS3 has barely gotten 1 million out, and they are no longer selling out quickly online. Wii has got 3.5 million out, and are still selling out instantly.

Though it's not really about the console, but about the games. Like the PS1 vs the N64. From a purely hardware point of view, the PS was inferior, but in terms of games, it far outshone the 64. Not to mention it used CDs...always a way forward.
Oh, and it looked cooler.
