Thanks Mak! You're always so kind my nordic neighbour

And guess what...

So all you should need to do is change:

	GeometryMajorRadius = 15

to:
	GeometryMajorRadius = 25

Let me know if this does not work. I'll await your PM on what you mentioned in the other post. I've got a couple questions for you.

Robert J.

IT WORKED!!! :)

Allright guys. I need your help with three things where i kind of ran into a cul-de-sac.
  • I'm trying to have the Hobbits spawn and revive in the Hobbit Barracks, same with Treebeard and the Entmoot with whom i started to experiment. First try: Insert RespawnBody and list among buildable heroes. For that i created new ReviveButtons, which have NEEDED UPGRADE, just like the CaH-ReviveButton, and the Fortress/Entmoot/HobbitBarracks each provide different OBJECT-UPGRADES for these Buttons. Still the buttons are used for every hero, despite my modifications. Even in the other buildings. Second try: Replace the RespawnBody of the Hobbits with an ActiveBody. Now all i need is a way to retain experience. I allready tried spawning LevelUpCrates when Treebeard 'revives', a number according to levels he gained on the way (conditional to the object upgrades received, a number of PLAYER-UPGRADES are also received, according to which number, a certain number of crates are spawned by the EntMoot. I kinda can't make them appear. But also i don't really like this alternative. I'm open for Suggestions. Has anyone fiddled with the damn revive buttons in any way and come to practical results? :xcahik_:
  • When the Hobbits mount Treebeard (i guess then he receives the MOUNTED flag), he is unable to toggle his weapon (WEAPONSET_TOGGLE_1). Does anyone know a way around this? Switching his commandsets by NOT using the toggle but by using a CommandSetSwitch-Module makes the commandsets switch, but not his WEAPONSET and his ANIMATIONS. Also i would like to keep the ATTACKING POSTION flag for switching to the BOMBARD-commandset.
  • I'm still trying to have decent crash animations for the flying units. In the S.E.E. subforum is already a thread about it: S.E.E. Animations-Thread
Any help with these things is very much appreciated! :xcahik_:

So long, Sûl.

Glad to see the Mountain Troll Crush is fixed. Thanks goes out to Robnkarla for finding the solution.

Nazgûl, if you want, I could send you some of my skins if you'd like to use them in your mod. Seeing how I won't use them except for my own personal use.

Hey u, sweet... I think we have all skins covered this far, with maybe some exceptions for Rohan archers and perhaps some new units, but Id love too see them. There are always room for improvements

Can I see them somewhere? =)

Sure... I'll Upload them either as add-ons to the Post or as a whole set through a file sharing program (Filefront etc.). I just need a little time to get some in-game screen shots.
I can't do renders for the life of me. ;)

No Problem... It's not like I really had any use for them other than for my enjoyment. If people like how they look and want to use them in a mod or for self-enjoyment; then, I'm more than glad to distribute them.

Hey Nazgul, I just want to say ur mod is awesome! Practically everything I wanted modded into this game was done with ur mod.

Just one question, do you plan on porting the mod to ROTWK?

No, I'm sorry, I don't think so. Pop in at our sub forum and you'll see (! lol) the matter discussed quite often  The ONLY reason would be to ad new factions, but other then that it has nothing I want for this mod. And adding new factions would make this mod not beeing finished until 2009 or something like that :p

Thanks for your comment though :) Im glad you like it. Beta IV will be a huge update again since it has AI for the new units now...

Here's one of the Dunedain Skin (RANGER_GRY) I'd thought I'd show.
The only reason I did them is because I hate the Gray Outfit.
So, since your regular Rangers look good, why not the Dunedain look good too. :thumbsupsmiley:

Yeah perhaps, those look good, but maybe a little too similar to Ithiliens?? :thumbsupsmiley:

Btw, is that screens from 3dstudio max? I never understood how to display the skins in there? :thumbsupsmiley:

If I was doing the skinning I'd make the skin more grey, remove their facial hair and give them the Star of the Dunedain.

I think that is 3DS, if it was Gmax it'd be blurred a lot more :thumbsupsmiley:

How to apply a texture on a model under 3dsmax (and Renx)

1. Ok, first open your model
Posted Image

2. Then go to 'Material Editor'
Posted Image

3. Once you're on the Material Editor plannel clic on 'Standard'
Posted Image

4. Choose the 'W3D' Standard
Posted Image

5. Clic on 'Pass 1' and check those settings
Posted Image

6. Same thing for Shader
Posted Image

7. Now we're going to choose the texture
Posted Image

8. Select 'Stage 0 texture' and clic on 'None'
Posted Image

9. Choose your texture then clic on Open (I don't know why it is written in french for me 'Ouvrir' O_o)
Posted Image

10. Clic on 'Display' then select the model on which you want to apply the texture
Posted Image

11. And clic on 'Assign Material to Selection'
Posted Image

12. Here we go :thumbsupsmiley:

New question from my internal fix list:

The evil ability "Blood Thirsty" should work on all allies - but how?
I can't find the ability in the codes and where I could set it to all allies, not just same units...? :)
