Yea they are. The Gondorian pictures all show them with or without heavy armour. I dunno about other factions. You probably knew that already though

Armor upgrades are much more sensible and realistic. There are also a lot of new FX that have been made, although I dont know what exactly has been used for Forged Blades. I would hope something like going from a dark rusty looking sword to a shiny silver sword which wouldnt need much FX.

The skin changes, but not from metal to rust. The Dale units, for example, change from cloth/leather skin and get a plate or chain armour upgrade to the skin. It was on one of Dain's blogs on the old site.

for gondor units you can see the change from normal to heavy armor on renders. just take a look and you will see...*cough* swordman render *cough* it is very similar for other factions. it definatly will not be like orginal gold armors :p

forged blades werent decided yet. but you will see no lightsabres in middleearth for sure

edit: fixed typo

Also, take a look at the images for all of the Gondor units. Some have black cloth/armor, while others have the upgraded version, instead of a stupid glow fx, the black switches to silver. Much more realistic and aesthetically pleasing.

The Celeborn question has been asked before and no picture exists. It is an original creation.

And that guy isnt actually Imrahil he is Irolas (played by Ian Hughes) and his is actually depicted in the mod as a Gondor Captain.

Im also glad that the glowing swords and golden armor are gone, but would they have different names? I didnt like how the upgrades were named the same (heavy armor, forged blades) for every faction

Look at the upgrades for Mirkwood. They have totally different designs, names, and sometimes, functions.

Hi, I usually don't say anything, but I thought I'd contribute. So, not even the elves get blades that glow when enemies are near? Gandalf's Thorin's, and Bilbo's swords all glowed when enemies were near, and all of their blades were elven made. I guesss that type of sword went out of style though. By the way, the mode looks great. :p

That craft wasn't common amongst Elves. All three of those blades that you have mentioned were forged in Gondolin (or at least Gandalf's and Thorin's that I know of :p). This is my guess: the craft came from Gondolin and was lost when the city was destroyed.

Can you please, post the palantir images that you've made (they are incredibly good ( especially for elves faction)).

There are on the main site, just go to the elven pages. Here's an example of Thranduil and my favourite palantir pic, Khamul:

Is this what you meant? Or was it the ability images?

Yes, that what I was asking about, but can you post the actual artworks (bigger size) for these palantir images? ( Please)

Sorry, mate but I'm afraid the best way of of viewing these palantir images is by visiting the RA website. But then you said about artworks, then there's an artworks page on the website, but there are only a few of them

In the original game units switched to daft gold armour ('cept for the Galadhrim where it was accurate) and had lightsabres.

Now Heavy armour will involve a logical skinchange. Leather and chainmail to Plate for the Gondorians. A chainmail shirt for the Dunedain, Dwarven armour for the men of Dale etc.. Upgrades will have different names and different strengths.

Fire arrows now behave differently. Forged blade and other upgrade FX are currently under discussion.

*has no idea why a random blonde citadel guard flunkey of Denethor's (called Iorlas for those who read the credits) has been labeled Imrahil and Beregond randomly by various people... does he even touch a horse? does he fight for Faramir's life? no.. he's a random bystander in burning him alive! arg*
