Yes Irolas was pretty useless. It would have been better if the movie include Imrahil and ride out to the black gate with the party. Any peasant could have said "This was long forseen by the stewart"

In the original game units switched to daft gold armour ('cept for the Galadhrim where it was accurate) and had lightsabres.

Now Heavy armour will involve a logical skinchange. Leather and chainmail to Plate for the Gondorians. A chainmail shirt for the Dunedain, Dwarven armour for the men of Dale etc.. Upgrades will have different names and different strengths.

Fire arrows now behave differently. Forged blade and other upgrade FX are currently under discussion.

That's really good to hear.

I agree with you there Alsch. Thanks for the changes. And why the hell does everyone call Forged Blades lightsabers? :p :p

For the forged blade FX, you could start with a sword that looks a little bit notched and poorly forged, kinda like the sword of Haleth from Peter Jackson's the Two Towers, the boy whom Aragorn talks to. And forged blades could look like a realy bright shade of metallic silver, kinda like Anduril in Return of the King.

Bit tough to see ingame, that. *zooms in* does that sword have dents in it? hmmm.

I really don't do requests and my Arnor Soldier is not fit for BFME. Don't ask me for either.

You can't attain command points by capturing castles, but you can get more by building minifaction buildings, I think, the maximum command point limit for the good factions is 400, and 800 for the evil factions.

*points at Nertea's sig*

And the command points are at least doubled so there wont be a need for CP increases for capturing castles.

thats isnt true, i personaly like star wars much. actualy some of machines, weapons etc. from those films are very high on my *wishtomodel* list. obviously the stuff that EA use for forged blades really reminds lightsabres. expecialy the ones for evil guys it looks almost the same as lightsabre of Darth Maul :p you know something like that belongs to scifi it doesnt suit to midleearth at all.

Oh no now we've got two kinds of nerds on our hands. But I'll agree that the forged blades looked really dumb. Sometimes when I would see a horde of upgraded Uruk-Hai I would think that it was a pack of berserkers.

*has no idea why a random blonde citadel guard flunkey of Denethor's (called Iorlas for those who read the credits) has been labeled Imrahil and Beregond randomly by various people... does he even touch a horse? does he fight for Faramir's life? no.. he's a random bystander in burning him alive! arg*

the reason why many fans who read the book think he's Imrahil, is because he's got this elf-look, what is mentioned in the book. In the book gandalf said something about the elven blood in dol amroth, and Iorlas just happens to look a lot like an half-elf or something.

Well, the main reason for this confusion comes from this card from the Lord of the Rings Trading Card Game which is very popular.
