They're having a private beta, from what I know. I guess there could be a few other people that could, but don't count on it.

ATM, we're in the private beta stages.

However, we will probably consider hiring external beta testers. One cannot judge his own work without too much bias, and studying the reaction of external people to our work will help us finetune it (especially the descriptions for the powers and features)

Well after you've finished private beta testing, how will external beta testers be decided? Will there be some sort of competition or something?

Out of interest, will there be new anims for the old Gondor, Rohan, Mordor and Isengard units, i.e. will units like Orc warriors, Trolls, Uruk hai, Gondorians and Rohirrim?

there will be new anims, but most anims do work alright, so don't expect to see all new anims on the old factions :p

never will i touch troll or gondor soldier skeleton, those are hell to work with. new anims mostly go to new units through some new bit here and there could occur even for old units but i wouldnt bet on that. :p

Yeah but your anims are excellent, and those drab Mordor, Gondor, Isengard and Rohan anims need refurbishing for this great mod. But what is it about the original faction unit skeletons thats so tough to animate them?

he said Gondor Swordsmen and Troll skeletons were hell to work with :p
That's why he wanted my to do the Woodsmen... :p

And do you seriously think that all the existing anims are 'drab'? Then, well, I don't agree with you.... most look fine, although, if the uruks gets a shield (as can be seen on the weekly gallery), then they should have a few edited anims.... still, I don't know what's been done, or what will be done, to the existing units... :p

You do know Cahik (and presumedly Lauri too) base most of their animations off existing ones, so they obviously don't have a problem with them. So most of the new ones are in the same style as EA's.

And the vanilla troll animations are great imo so they don't need to be touched, Cahik.

And a few things are being touched up *points at Cahik's sig*

EA's animations are fine... most of them appear to have been done by wired actors... what is it called again...

Anyway, they're lifelike.
