That's what is really bad about most modern games and BFME in particular. You have these weapons off mass destruction that make actual strategy useless! What's the use of my fully upgraded late game army against THE LONE LEVEL 10 GANDALF! Oh sorry, I spent 6k and didn't build an army and I just wiped out half of yours! Wohooo! And guess what? I'm Gondor so as soon as you rebuild your horde.... I will summon the horrifying GREEN PLAGUE upon your poor soldiers.

I hate nukes.

I really don't do requests and my Arnor Soldier is not fit for BFME. Don't ask me for either.

Hi, I am pretty new here, but I must express my praise to all modders for their work and commitment to do the greatest mod ever.

...just dont underpower Glordindel. When I saw him in BFME2 I almost cried.

Now that the subject has been brought up, how powerful is Glorfindel in relation to Gandalf?

I'm just going to say that no fine unit balancing has been done yet, so comparisons between two very powerful heroes are hard to make.

on the main page it looks like gandalf the grey can mount an eagle but gandalf the white can only mount shadowfax.. seems like a step down that would make me not even want to upgrade him.
please tell me im wrong.

well....

GtGrey:
-Mount Eagle

GtWhite:
-Mount Shadowfax (aka, best and fastest horse in Middle-Earth)
-Stronger
-More health
-Just better all in all really... (don't know, but even the powers could be a tad more powerful for all I know ;))

So no, your correct :xcahik_: I would surely upgrade him ;) Having him mounted on Shadowfax along with Knights of Gondor and Dol Amroth, and Faramir, Imrahil and Aragorn sounds like alot more fun thing to me than Gandalf riding an eagle, and alone ;) (and probably unable to use his powers...)

Upgrading your heroes in RA doesn't mean improving them in all aspects, its about specialising them for the role you need them in the most, looking at the current situation of your game.

I'm just curious, will he be able to attack whilst on his eagle? As in will the eagle attack, or will it just be used for transporting him from one end of the map to the other? Because if it's only for transportation then I would certainly upgrade him. :xcahik_:

I was about to say most likely not, but again, I have no idea... (just thinking about animations, hehe...)

But he spends more time on shadowfax... it's just in the end of the crisis :xcahik_:

No he doesn't attack.

WOP on eagle is scary to say the least. If someone does manage to get a level 10 Gandalf the Grey (which is obviously harder due to the stat difference)... invest in archers :xcahik_:

i wouldn't expect him to be able to use spells on an eagle but atleast be able to attack like nazgul.

what will denethor be able to do?

does this means that a WOP on an eagle will also be able to kill units on the ground? cause word of power doesn't affects nazgul when they're flying high above it..

No... like I said... Gandalf on eagle won't attack. He can only perform certain spells. But he will not dive or swoop. That'd look ridiculous.

Dain: Arr Nertea: yarrrr Dain: haharrrr Nertea: graaawwwr Dain: oaaaaaaaarr Nertea: .... honk?
