i had to patch my game recently to play this mod. if you have a router that blocks EA's port, like mine, you can get patch 1.06 from fileplanet.

Ok first i sure would appreciate somehelp ..i wanna play this mod!:xcahik_:
Ok so heres the issue,i put in - "C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Battle for Middle-earth ™ II\lotrbfme2.exe" -mod SEE.big in target
then i go to paste in "C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Battle for Middle-earth ™ II"
over what it originally had in the Startin Box - "E:\EA GAMES\The Battle for Middle-earth ™ II"
When i do this and a warning message reads:

The folder "C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Battle For Middle Earth ™ II" specified in the Start in box in invalid . Make sure this folder exists and that the path is correct.

I have checked and the folder exists and (if i no what "Path" means) its correct too.
Please help.
Cheers thanx
Ps im the above unregistered person.finally got past tha stage after much messing about.
PPS. cheers naz for moving my previous post!=)
How come i only noticed this thread now???

Ok, so let me get this straight:

- You've installed the game on the C drive
- You've installed the mod as told in the readme
- It doesn't work.

Question: what is this about an E drive? If you've installed the game on your E drive, you've got to put that in the target and starting box.

The "E" drive is in the supplied shortcut with the mod, cause that is MY shortcut :xcahik_: But as instructed in the Installation Instructions it's up to the user to change it into where he/she installed the game =)

Ok ..ok thsi is confusing i know!
Firsly I installed Bfme 2 on to the C drive . I could not finish installation of the mod becasue of the encountered problem above it wont let me put in what Clonecommand has in his Instructions document (top of page).
"E:\" and "EA GAMES\The Battle for Middle-earth ™ II" was what my computer had in the start in box befroe i changed it ..i suppose ti must have autoassigned the drive ...thoguh even when i try install in that start up location it gives me that error message agin but with "E:\EA GAMES\The Battle for Middle-earth ™ II"
us not a valid folder .....balh blah. so to clarify
- I have not yet Installed the game fully. Though i have but the SEE.bigin in the "the battle for middle earth 2 files .
- Apparently the Location "C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Battle for Middle Earth 2
Is invalid as is "E:\EA GAMES\The Battle for Middle-earth ™ II"
Really hope this clears things up thoguh due to my record of bad explaining i reckon it wont...=)

the odds are yours, (like most people's) path should say
"C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Battle for Middle-earth (tm) II\lotrbfme2.exe" -mod SEE.big

Sounds like it isn't installed correctly. If you had, the Macro (gondorwell-thing) located in water.ini would have been recognized. Do you have RotWK installed? Or any other Mod?

I have RotWK installed too, that won't cause any errors. I'd say check if your game is Patched to 1.06 :p

Hi! I'm back! :p

Yes, that will get rid of the mod. It won't leave things behind, much like the Elvenstar mod would.

You have the SEE.big in the BFME2 already when you try the shortcut? Your paths are correct....

Btw, could I get moderating powers for THIS paticular part of the forum? This is my area of expertise.... :p
