[Annullus The Grey]

not if done correctly, an elf with bow spear and next to no armor as such bulky weapons would require would be slaughtered by even a slight disadvantage in numbers. also any warrior carrying both a bow and spear would most likely only have a light bow due to the bulk of the spear

Hi, I'm back from my vacation with a new bunch of Hero re-designs, including Glorfindel, Boromir, Alatar, Sauron and Saruman. Besides that, i have two ability re-designs, Lord of Minas Morgul for the Witch-king, and Blade of the East for Tulamdir.

Just one thing, is this mod going to change the icon for Flames of Valinor ?

We don't have 2D artist on the team since Culuadan left us, but, yes, it is the plan that we're gonna make new icons for the commandbuttons.

Nice new FX-s Elendil, I especially love the Flames of Valinor. At last Glorfindel will be the tough guy he was meant to be

By the way, Egalmoth is working on converting some icons from a game called "Warhammer: Mark of Chaos". The ones he showed me are quite interesting, and hopefully they will do the trick until either we get an icon-artist or Egalmoth becomes adept at this thing, whichever happens first.

I thought i would give Wars of the East some new a fresh FX's, which could match the ones of Ithron and Grizzles. Besides that, i didn't want to let ya all down, as i felt a little bit i did last time with all those boring Buffs and debuffs.

Update - 2008.08.07

This is a small update, but "If you don't respect small things, you don't deserve big ones." (Hungarian saying). But anyway, take a look at these:

First, the new Hasharin portrait by Egalmoth:

Second: there was some discussion amongst team members 'bout getting new icons, as using the original in-game icons too many times would be lame/unfitting/feeling-ruining. However, as Egalmoth is not quite adept at icon-making (yet), and we don't have other 2D-artists right now, we have chosen an alternative solution: I asked Egalmoth to "convert" icons from a game called as "Warhammer: Mark of Chaos".

THIS SOLUTION IS TEMPORARY ! We don't want to "steal" from others, but also don't want our faithful fans to feel "artless" if you know what I mean the icons shown below will probably change in the future - either we get new ones, or at least edit them.

But anyway...
