Maybe Give Nuke Reactors a small raditation field around the
buildings... Make 'em harder to capture.


They would be harder to repair too.

Between now and the next polished release there should be very little new art work done. Instead the focus is on designing, testing, and fixing. the mod has always been so close to finished that its nearly criminal. I'd love to see this through to the end with a real community effort.

Well not for the nuke general :lol: they have the isotope stability thingy as well as the radioactive armor for units and structures if i remember correctly

Well not for the nuke general :) they have the isotope stability thingy as well as the radioactive armor for units and structures if i remember correctly


he doesn't get them until the late game. they're Tech2 center upgrades now.

I would hardly call it late game. I mean, I usually have tech two before the first wave is finished attacking.. power plant -> supply center -> war factory -> upgrade 1 -> tech centre (where you can find the upgrade?)

This whole little chain went from Contra to Remix by accedent.

power plant -> supply center -> war factory -> Escalation1 -> propaganda centre -> Escalation2 -> IsatopeLab ->


Thats late game. Its up there with the Nuclear amunition upgrade.

My bad, never got that far... robot gen kicked my arse before then lol


When my friend and I play against the Robot hard we do this:

He plays Superweapon, I play nuke. 50K starting cash. (100K is easy:( )

He starts SLIGHTLY closer to the AI and gets singled out for all the general's powers attacks. As soon as the drone is spotted flying over his base we know he's the target. I rush and build a forward base where the AI is trying to expand into, and I keep a steady hard fighting line against the edge of his main base. I draw nearly 100% of the units, but he remains the target for 100% of the powers. My job is to hold the line against his units until i have an isatop lab and can get my nuke weapons upgrade. when I get that, the defensive artil I already have on the line is strong enough to really start kicking ass and make that same line an offensive line. About that same time he has his 2-3 ICBMs nearing launch time. This is how we beat him. It only works on certain maps, but on the right maps we can run it pretty much every game.

I had a good Idea for a stealth gen building...
Allow stealth gens to build a garrisonable Supply Dock...
So they'd think their getting supplies but are actually getting an ass kicking!

? I meant the supply dock you gather supplies from...
You know what you build the supply center next to.

Also could you change the flame gens loading screen...
"destroy all enemy buildings to win"
... I think we kinda know that.

Anyway, Creator do you have a list of what you done for Contra 5? (I know all of the new units) Im running out of ideas to make better than 4. How about a cyborg for super weapons generals that carries a personal shield & a high power cannon or machine gun. you can activate the shield whenever for a very short time & weak armour? :lol: Or maby a firestorm generator!

I have a suggestion for the Flame General: for his suerweapon he could have a massive cannon that fires into the air and when it hits the ground it creates a massive, firey explosion and sends a massive flame outwards in all directions. Could be replacement for his superweapon that he currently has. It would burn the ground too and would leave behind fire on the ground(sorta like toxins and radiation but fire) that does damage to vehicles and buildings and burns the infantry. The cannon of course would point straight up when its ready. YOu could also just have it in the same building or a completely different one. But something that opens and closes and releases the cannon.

Tripods for the Cyber gen --> It would use a particle beam, and can walk in water and mountains (instead of omega cannon )

Intelligent Mine --> The Tripod could place 2 of it (if the Tripod is destroyed, these mines will be destroyed, too)
If something enemy comes close, it launches an EMP mini-rocket,( what disables the vehicle for 2 secs) , then fastly moves toward that vehicle and suicides

On the Lazer general I have a couple suggestions:
1.) Could you have the anti infantry lazer on the laser tank or have it's laser damage infantry?
2.) Please have the Partical Cannon defence repond to your command, it shoots whoevers closer & ignor you!
3.) Have all the auroras immune to A-A fire on the attack run!

On the Super Weapons General:
1.) Have a anti-ballistic defence that shoots artillery shells.
2.) Have a standard attack vehicle like a light tank or something.

I'll dish out more later on. :p

I don't think its going to happen. I think Remix and Contra now both have as many mech type units as they ever will.

Both Creator and I will have something similare. No EMP rocket, but I think we both will have some kind of spider mine for robot.

I think GPS scramble shouldn't work on the elbrus launcher because it makes it alot harder than it really should to destroy them.

Also the Cluster tomahawk gen power should make a noise like Artillery Barrage so you know it's coming.

i cant remember if it was in these forums or elsewhere but i remember someone going on about auroras bweing too weak in armour and powerfull in attack i agree but anyway my issue is anti air.

missile anti air seems balanced as does the flak cannons and retaliator however gattling cannons and quad cannons down air too faast and mean that inteceptors are unnessecary. u should weaken theese units and possibly make aircraft more expensive with an emphasis on actually using interceptors.

flak tank or something would be good for gla as it would give aircraft especially china migs and american arouraS A USE AGAIN. missiles were fair as countermeasures and outpacing them worked.

I think the Quad cannon is weaker than it used to be in normal zero hour, and the gattling tank should not be changed. China is supposed to be good against america so it should have good Ati-Air. The aurora will be Invulnerable to damage again.
