tao the nuke need surface to air defenses

with gatelin tank and sam infantery he can't fight against air force general....



this was supposed to be his weakness rite?

btw i think GLA assault should get T72s instead of Scorpion and T80s instead of Marauders.

it varies between the GLAs, some have upgrades, some allow 5 infantry to be held, and some act like tunnels...


not true.... I just played for all GLA generals and noone of them has in Black Market available upgrades. GLA toxin gen. can garison it by 5 troops, but for rest of GLA generals it works like tunel network.

No offence, but isnt it kind of retarded to remove the nuclear missile from the nuke general

No offence, but isnt it kind of retarded to remove the nuclear missile from the nuke general


why ?

instead of launch nuclear missile, you'll call nuke bomber like US Air Force Generals
this plane could be shout down by most of player (missile could be shoot down only by the mass destruction weapons generals)

and so tao is able to get protection from air assault

beforetest and test,

they are not posibility to rush on this mob, the buildings are to strong, and the defenses, have big power of fire,

rush, its one way or posibility, to win, we realy like, let this posibility, more when are many players,

Contra 007 should be really tested , I don't say that i don't like new stuff but I would really like to see CRASHless contra so I can play atleast 10 matches without a crash or mismatch on LAN

I was thinking... How about a different PLAYABLE boss general, but with the best of all the generals, like:
Defence:
Gauss gun
A10 strike
Tomahawk firebase
Sniper site
Advanced patriot defence

Infantry:
Jarmen Kell (With deployable defense site, available charges, ambush and crate spawn)
Black Lotus (With magnetic bomb, hack vehicle, plant nuke, neutron and napalm charge)

Sniper (based on laser general sniper, so can shoot down missiles and attack vehicles, or make separate one for each purpose)

I've always hated boss generals. They remind me of the overpowered space marines from dawn of war, who can kill things that cost more with units they start with. You go out for mods hoping to find something that puts other sides on par and the SMs get a missle that kills everything in a huge area instantly.

You want a boss general go get one of the like 10 boss general mods. There should not be an OPed general with the best of everything, or else everyone will play them on lan, so everyone will say "no boss general" and the boss gen will never be used unless you do a comp stomp....seems like a waste of time.

Well it would be fun to use against the AI, or as the AI. I realise it wouldn't be good on multiplayer.
Its just that the contra units are pretty spectacular, and then I'd like to see a combination of the best, other than the boss general thats already there, because shes got some pretty strange units that aren't really of my liking...

-PLEASE ADD VEHICLE TAG TO CYBERNETIC AIRPLANES:dry: They cant be shot down, not good when you are against them!

-I think that some price adjustments would be necesary. I dont have time to name many, but for example, why do the flame and infantry general heroic units cost so much?

-Assault general heroic tank uses it's mortar as a primary weapon. In other words, if you teel it to attack a unit, and it will move close enough for the mortar to attack it, but not the main cannon. This should be fixed.

-New bomb for air force general heroic unit (perhaps neutron or nuke?)

-MIRV nuke upgrade resets nuke timer, just to be fair

-Faster aurora speed, maybe allow for a straightflow engine ugrade for a quick fix

-Neutron missile superweapon (the neutron missile is found in the original ZH object list and in world builder, but it never made an appearance.)

-Air force generals strategic bombers should have more speed or health. They are supposed to be a superweapon (aka fire anywhere on the map no matter how many defences are present, which is not the case here).

-Nuke gen's irradiator needs some kind of spread weapon, like toxin tractor sprayors or a dragon tank's flame wall.

-Dragon tank flame wall attack is only used when right next to target. Increase range, ore somehow fix targeting.

-air force raptors need 6 missiles instead of 4

-make sure drones are targetable by all AA units (cough, cybernetic heroic unit, cough cough).

-earth shaker should have the option of firing in short bursts, or in volleys, like the flame general missile launcher.

-Cybernetic general should maybe have suicidal aircraft built at the airfield.

-Cyber needs 4th level drop, like overlord drop

-F-117 availible to air force general

-Satellite hack 3 is slightly unfair if you have multiple internet centers. Although I love the idea, the reload time should be increased.

-Nuke gen needs radiation fields in the air (fallout?), like toxin general clouds. It might provide the much needed AA defence he needs, without actully giving him a defence structure.

-Laser gen anahilator says it can attack air units in description. Correct me if I'm wrong, but iv'e never seen it down an airplane

-Need more general's challenges if possible, I know that it takes a ton of work to make them

-China and GLA missions, dito

-flamethrowers need longer range

-Mthel should disable mines, not detonate them

-Demo gen need a big suicide plane, maybe the normal transport plane could be used as a generals power. 9/11 style.

- Be able to change starting cash

-Maybe add standard factions and boss general.

- A-10s from grangers defences should not fly towards the enemy's base. Every strike just gives experience to the enemy, it makes me not want to use the defence. Perhaps they could dissapear or fly off the side of the map, or come in from behind and fly towards your base.

-Comanches need to cause more damage, maybe have more missiles that reload slower

-Cyber Gen needs a robot sniper

-Laser Paladin should be more effective vs. infantry after the carbon laser upgrade.

-SW general should have more powerfull defences. A laser general's defensive combonation of mthel, laser turrets, snipers and anahilators provides and unstopable defence, the SW general should get an advanced defensive structure that is a little more special...

There are more fixes that are obvious (like fixing the problems of the last USA mission, for example)

I love Contra 006, its the best mod iv'e seen. Can't wait to see what 007 has.

I agree.
The wyvern should be the delivery system for the HE/MOAB and the SW. It should be faster (aurora missile miss factor) and always stealth. The B52 should be the replacement for the Wyvern @ the airfield. It should upgrade to a B2 at the SW at lvl 5. Additionally the B52 should have a cluster carpet bomb weapon, and the B2 a small nuke or a mini MOAB style weapon.

That's my input.

I agree, the air gen strategic bombing and the whyvern should switch roles.

I also agree that the cyber gen is too weak in mid-game.

Ive heard of a noew drone the U.S. military is developing. This drone has a rifle mounted on a stabilized turret, which is mounted on a small helecopter dron controlled from afar. Perhaps a "sniper drone" could become availible to the cyber gen, to counter the devestating infantry assaults.

P.S. sentry and guardian drones need to be cheaper.

This, or some new Mid-Game-Units are needed... Or at least the Spider-Drohnes should get more durable or at least one MG... Like that they are nothing to Infantry and even Scorpion-Tanks and Artillery of the GLA not even to talk of China!

I've picked a few of the better suggestions I've heard of, adding a few of my own. Key points are bold for all the lazy viewers. Important links are colored blue and underlined, so that you understand what I'm talking about.

Air Force
-Wyvern and B-2 should switch roles. The Wyvern should be a supersonic bomber and deliver super weapons. B-2 should be a lvl 5 plane at the big airfield.
-Replace comanche drop with aircraft carrier strike, levels 1, 2, and 3. F-18 hornets can spawn from outside the map, and then be ordered to attack any point on the map. The # of F-18s depends on the level(1, 2 or 3).
-Aurora needs straightflow engine upgrade, so it can remain faster than fighters
-Needs airborn projectile defence. Make somthing like the ALS, Airborn Laser

Cybernetic-
-Spider tanks need to be stronger, but slightly more expensive.
-Automized production should be a level 3 strategy center upgrade.
-Needs the Autonomous Rotorcraft Sniper System (ARSS, a current U.S. military project) Sniper Drone Website

Laser
-Needs super long range artillery, somthing like an omega cannon that can fire anywhere on the map.
-Occasionally, some of the laser general's powers, like the artillery strike and microwave beam, won't fire. Whenever you attempt to fire them, the normal attack cursor turns into a red X, even though the power is ready to use.
-Maybe the laser general could purchase a laser defence system for aircraft as an upgrade, to protect his auroras and comanches, much like the original air force generals point defence system. Because the general rarely uses aircraft, the system would no longer be overpowered. The U.S. project is called HELLADS

Tank
-Because of thier splash damage, shaitans can kill supersonic auroras on thier bombing run. If a laser is too slow to hit a aurora, then a shaitan shouldn't kill an aurora. Decrease the damage radius for shaitans, or change auroras.

Nuke
-To everyone who wants to turtle with nukes: The nuke general does not need defences. His units provide all the defence you need.
-Yes, I know he has a neutron bomb, but the nuke general should be able to build a neutron missile superweapon.
-I admit the general does need some anti air protection. The nuke gen need somthing equivalent to thrax's silicon clouds. Perhaps "radiation fallout" could down enemy aircraft

Infantry
-Needs close combat, building clearing infantry. These infantry units would be armed with short range submachine guns. They would enter and attempt to clear buildings garrisoned by the enemy. If I were the creator, I would use a red guard infantry model with a CIA agent gun, as infantry are too hard to make from scratch.

GLA
-needs faster supply gatherers. Maybe you could ditch the animations, or increase the amount of money workers carry.
-The Assault general needs to be reworked or eliminated, as he specializes in the worst possible GLA strategy: straightfoward assaults. An assault general is nothing against the chinese, and the weak units serve as target practice fot the USA. Maybe he could have stronger units. Or perhaps a "propaganda" or "rebel" faction could be made, that specializes in hijacking other units, and using units from other factions.
GLA Assault = FAIL
-stealth gen needs a permanently stealthed scout infantry unit that cant be detected, but can't attack. Stealth gen needs a spy.

Boss (lots of problems)
-The war factory pictures don't even match build pictures.
-Artillery can fire at aircraft. (this may be a deliberatley made ability)
-Black lotus doesn't even have any abilities!
-Many vehicle upgrades, dont work. (Ex. rocket buggy ammo and rocket buggies)
-Raptor fires at ground units.
-There are too many problems for me to remember, just play as the boss general and you will find plenty.

Contra is undoubtedly the best C&C mod I've ever played, I cant wait to see what comes out next.

To the creator,

Im a great fan of your mod, quite frankly it kicks all other mods in the behind.

I am a modder myself, and I would like to propose the following changes to the Air Force general.

1. GET RID OF THE GODDAMN RANK PREREQUISITE FOR THE STRATEGY CENTER!!! ITS ANNOYING!
a. perhaps you could make it cost tonnes to keep with the supply gathering strategy base in the game

2. Replace the F16XL with the A10...
a. The F16XL is an EXPERIMENTAL aircraft. It never was armed, it is stupid to use it as a bomber.
b. I already have coding for A10 weapons, commandbuttons, skins, etc. so drop me an email at CatRhino1@gmail.com if you would like them.

3. Give the Air Force general a combat sniper
a. Not a pathfinder, a combat sniper, (Ranger with a sniper rifle) with a gun capable of bringing down trucks (perhaps the M107CQ)

4. Make the C27 payload 8 people, not 6.
a. 8 is a good number, you can fit 8 infantry into one chinook, or two hummers, its all good!
b. add the Combat Sniper to the 'buildvariant' of the dropplane weapon... (make them the extra two people)

5. Please keep the ridiculous units to a minimum... sometimes they ruine the realism

6. Give the F18 6 missiles, not 4.

7. Give the F22 4 precision guided bombs - like in real life (I have coding for this as well)

8. Give all the planes 'aircraft cannons' (I have the coding for this, too)


I am willing to help out with a bit of coding where I can, so if you need any help, email me!
