Whaaa.....this is M1 Abrams. I don't think GLA can afford one of the most sophisticated USA Main Battle Tank of 20th century (well in 21st Century the Paladin Tank and Laser Crusader would be more sophisticated).
If you want a light tank with missile, I think you better go for Russian tank. Maybe some old design tank with modification.
Maybe GLA Assault General would get Russian T90 Tank.

Kuwait - 218 M1A2 Abrams
Saudi Arabia - 388 M1A2 Abrams
Iraq - 280 M1A2, 140 more will be delivered until 2011.

Well, since i draw something every day i decided to draw some tanks that came across my mind. This is nothing special, it`s a bit ugly, but it`s drawed with mouse and it`s way much better with real pencil.
Maybe some of sketches will like creator and they will be some new units...heh :thumbsupsmiley:

-this tanks could be for USA if upgraded with microwaves upgrade, maybe for SW general, or mybe for TANK general if upgraded with missiles, i don`t know :p

i dont think the abrams is a realy good idea mostley its added for the sake of adding
for the same reason i hate the apache in zh mod's

maybe add a light recon vehicle (like humvee) for china inf gen

it could carry one missile/mortar kinda like the mobile command centre
it should do about the same damage and firing speed

add a supressive fire mode for gatling tank immobilizes all soldiers
i could fire 10 seconds every minute
for the minigunner it could be 2 seconds every minute

How about Smoke Grenades for Rangers!? They would create smoke like Acid Cloud (smaller one ofcourse), the smoke is harmless but it can help in running away or attacking (if deceided to create smoke arround rangers itself) or throw this grenade into enemys (usefull against human player, it would be hard to see where are your units, who are they and stuff, hard to control).

Or maybe this upgrade could be only for Colonel Burton for excaping from desperate situations or vice versa...?

Smaller recharge time...

Or...give it to some tanks, smoke grenades fired from tanks will cause to reduce enemy accuracy (hit rate, if possible in contra)...


Yes, something like that is in project raptor but this could be more advanced if causing reducing accuracy.

I've interesting suggestion about your smoke gren idea.
Smoke grenade system for CWC would make anything inside it stealth for a short time, preventing enemy from firing at it (it works for tanks too).
Perhaps it might be adaptable Contra.

That`s good, and they are stealthed while shooting too, just like Hazael, as long as cloud is above them.
Hmm...this might be overpowered? Attacking with group of tanks, missile defenders and rangers and cover them with smoke. Maybe it`s better only for colonel burton?

Here is another my idea, suggestion, and sketch ofcourse :p

-This is Photon Cannon Tank, he is for Laser General. It`s capable of firing Photon Torpedos everywhere on map, just like Death Hand. He has two firing options. One is to fire single photon torpedo on single location with maximum power, and the second one is to fire 4 photon torpedos with 1/4 of power for each torpedo but spread them in selected area.

-he requires Tokamak, rank 5, and also power 15
-he needs to deploy if shooting
-if destroyed, because of great energy consuption, will cause blast similar to Laser Aurora blast.

-the sketch is my vision of this tank, not so important.

In CWC, the smoke/stealth effect last about a few seconds only.

How about new ability for Karakourt, it`s Toxin Trace.

By pressing "leave toxin trace" button, Karakourt would spray behind toxin for 15 seconds, if he moves, toxin trace will be longer.
This trace would stay on ground for 1 minute (or more), and because this is not field, but trace that is "tinner", it would damage tanks (to be usefull).
Reload time would be 3min.

This could be good in some ways, example for deploying a barrier on field that infantry cannot pass, for defending base, or while in enemy base and Karakourt is about to be destroyed, leaving this trace in enemy base in front of barracs will cause enemys infantry production crippled, or just to damage everyone.

I felt the Nuclear Storm was missing something. And for ages i couldn't figure out what (this was way back when 006 came out that i started trying to figure it out). I would think for ages a just couldn't put my finger on it. then it hit.

Nuclear Winter.

the Nuke storm drops like 13 nukes. In reality, that kind of drop would easily cast the planet into a nuclear winter. And i don't mean change the weather pattern to snow, that would likely just make the game crash with all the texture changes.

What i figured out was that the radiation dropped by these nukes should be permenant
and that the nukes should drop radiation 2x further than usual (only if dropped by Nuke Storm). and that extra radiation would dissapear 2x slower than normal.

And maybe you could change the name of the Nuke Storm to Armageddon. (Even just the name change would be good, Nuke storm is kinda bland)


Meh, i dunno, just a random thought that finally clicked in my head. lol

nah that owuld be to overpowered
by the way after oyu launched a nuke storm you have won intantly 9 out of 10 times
and the 10th time you crippled the enemy so hard he'd lose whithin 5minutes after lauch
also the name armageddon isnt that good either it just iws what it is a storm of nuke's

Overpowered. Libra is already powerful in combination with tank group. If you have S&D battleplan (+20% range), Libra group behind a tank group will be your destruction. Laser Avenger and MTHEL are very good already. Aircraft can be shot down quite easy and missiles can barely hit these vehicles. As soon as the super unit comes out, you're toast.

I suggest you play against good human player who plays Laser gen and see the result. There is no better way to explain. :huh:

I've also been thinking about Infantry general. If his rush failed, he can barely survive tough generals (nuke, toxin...). Instead of utilizing Howitzer, I suggest he uses mortar equipped APC, which is tougher than GLA mortar but slower or as slow as Howitzer but can fire while moving.

How about this?When you gain rank 5,one super tank came automatically out of your command center?
Example,playing as tank gen one shaitan came out command center as soon as you reach rank 5.
Vyvern could maybe levitate out of center.

A new tool against the Air Force will only subsidiary. This weapon damage not only the Air Force, but the land beneath them. This makes it dangerous to use such machines against Air Force. Wyvern coming out of CC would be weird. And if you play Juzhiz, heh you got a suicide nuke bomb inside your base. I wouldn't want that. I would prefer sending as far as from my war factory as possible. Also, super things should be built and cost money for tactical purpose.

Well, you can play with me or dcesarec or many other non-Russian-speaking if you don't like those Russian-speakers. Perhaps you would get more idea this way. I'm looking for good players to fight with. :huh:

It seems that this dialog needs a bit of explaination.

Kur-zaz is very good player. I'm familiar with him for almost a year. It was him who helped me to fix many ballance errors. And it was him who wrote a half of strategy and tactics articles on Contra web site.

But his English is bad. The most probably, he uses translation programm which does not transfer the meaning precisely. So, it can be misunderstanding because of language barrier.

And also, he is a dreamer. He loves new ideas. The more unusual - the better. I'm already full of his ideas of making cycle-factories which produce units for free and without stopping, "Friendship" chainsaw drones, flying flasks which give experience, jumping anti-aircraft kamikazes and many others.

I propose that we give the nuke generals interceptors the neutron upgrade again.
That was the greatest plane in contra history, I'm sorry I complained about it way back then.
