yes the mig 25 might be a nice fighter for the gla, but if it was being add'd to china like suggested i would laugh.

anyways lets continue.

Remix does have a gunship for the airforce general it is called the AC150, there is screenshots of it around this forum somewhere. Idk if creator is using any of the stuff from remix or not you would have to ask creator.
The white plan you are talking about if i remember rightly is the f35 JSF (joint strike fighter) i maybe wrong.
I can't remember if that sits next to the f117 in contra 4.
Remix airforce general has meny new aircrafts and 3 different airfields, so just wait for the release of remix3 or contra 5.

F117 is called a fighter but it is only a ground attack aircraft, i has a few AA missiles it can carry. But the us airforce only uses them for pricision bombing, its not really such a good choise for Air to air combat.
Idk why it class'd as a fighter as it is more of a bomber, maybe its because of the size and shape but it is a bomber so no AA abiltys are needed.

i don't see the need for the sr71, it is a recon plane and ther eis already a hugh number of ways to spy on the enermy, we don't need another. The AWACS is already in remic for the airforce gen, again i don't know if contra v5 will have it. as i don't know how much pend and creator are shareing.

If u want anothe mods units go play another mod, this is contra/remix forums this is not based off another mod nore is this a totle conversion. there stuf looks good but they are a totle conversion and want everything to be realistic.
Contra/remix is about general as it was but improving on it, not making it 100% realistic this is why alot of units are still and and the same, ie: the battlemaster, the weird looking spector and the yellow b52's
they don't want to change generals they are only improving on it.

Can u give me a link to the newest remix?
i think that old Russian planes could be given to the GLA(mig 21,25 yak9, and maybe a su27 and su24 for five star generals)
i want a plane to replace the iron dragon for the chinese side too(iron dragon is totally inaccurate)maybe a mig 29 multi role fighter.
Why dont u replace the battle master with the T80 and the gattinling tank with the shilka.Links for T80 and Shilka.

SA11 is russian so maybe give it to the Chinese for AA since some1 already said USAAF have good planes so Chinese have good AA.

Pend has the link for the remix v2 version.
remix 3 has not been released to the public as it is a work in progress.

and the reasons they wont repleace the battlemaster is because this is not a totle conversion.
they are improving generals to how they think it should have been when released, this means alot of the old generals feel ie: battlemaster quad cannon and such wont be removed as they are generals.
some sides may lose them for a different or updated veriation on thos units but they will remain generaly unchanged.

Pend is short for Pendaelose.

pend is the guy making remix3.
he cna link u to his remix 2 as i don't know the link.
your have to wait till remix 3 is ready for release tho.

I think this sums up my reasons for not having a mig 25 in for AA. They simply suck ;)


a 1970s soviet jet would be apropriate for GLA though.

as to mentions of zeplin in other posts. For Remix3 I am looking at making an airship unit, maby 2, for Chem GLA. They will have more in common with the RA2 airships than WW1 Hydrogen zeplins. It will be a super unit with no question about it.

I thought GLA got the Trantula. Or is that Contra only?

there is a remix 2.75 but it says in bracket base on 003.
do i delete my contra 004 to install the remix?
is there not a remix based on 004?
I got the remix 2.75 but i dont know how to install.(it is the compressed 1 without installer)
tell me everything that have 2 be done pls.(the readme dosent say much because the guys new baby and trip 2 eygpt.

FYI all of this has digressed way off topic, but I will stil help here.


First a clarification of the difference between Remix and Contra....

Creator makes Contra. Starting with Contra.03 I made a Remix version. the Remix1 was simply Contra.03 without the rank restrictions. It was short lived and almost imediately replaced with Remix2. Remix2 had about 70 new units and powers that were unique to Remix, but it still maintained all of the game content from Contra but without the level restriiction system. Remix2.75 was the last version like this.

After Contra.04 was released I started work on Remix3. Remix3 is a huge project, almost a year in the making and only 60% complete there are already atleast 200 new units, buildings and powers (I counted 180 new pics for button art). It has a VERY distinct and unique play style and balance. The rank system from Contra has been replaced with a Tech Escalation system and the Tech tree has been more than doubled in length for most generals. Remix3 still lives by the same philosophy of the early Contra and Remix versions, to simply expand the game to be what it should have been, but it takes it a step farther and makes the factions drasticly different with multiple unique super weapons per faction, new powers, and tons more units and base defenses.

yes, last october was a VERY VERY busy time... Like the readme says, I had a new baby and an Army style trip to egypt. (Anual Training). It was hard enough to get a playable version released, a readme just had to be set to the side until the next public release.

Between now and the next polished release there should be very little new art work done. Instead the focus is on designing, testing, and fixing. the mod has always been so close to finished that its nearly criminal. I'd love to see this through to the end with a real community effort.

last time when i suggested for HUMVEEs to jump off cliffs some 1 says no.
So what about letting the HUMVEEs climb the cliff?
Today i tryed the GLA demolation general's cruise missile. what is with the terrorest on the missile?
and the transport why dont u make it carry 8 people and when it arrived at the destination the bus comes off the missile and depolyes like when they get destroyed while the missile attacks near by targets.
The kamakzae plane for the Demo general should have a bigger fire strom and bigger radius since we only get it at level 5 general.
Maybe adding more words to the tool bar to describe the unit,building,or power would be nice.(i dont know y my general upgrade is pink and buildings and units anre also pink.)
the tank hunter for the toxin general has nothing againest infantry so maybe a machine gun or let it carry 8 troops.
For the GLA assult general y not make it so when maraders are made they are already double barreled

r there going to be missions in the contra mod?
i dont know if u people still remeber that big tank that the chinese tank general have that have a huge mortar it would be good if that is in the contra 005(i like the tank a lot :p )

after finally using chinese side in a long time i noticed that the chinese heavy bomber(the one u get when dropping the bigger bombs for general power)is nothing but a green b52. whatz with that?

I'll not support humvees climbing cliffs. I've driven real ones and I asure you theres no extream sport cliff climbing going on in a humvee.

so what version of ZH r u making remix 3 for because i cant patch my i tryed it says old file not found i think i have to buy another 1.(i coudnt play ur 2.75 making the mod for all version of ZH (like the orignal contra mod) would be nice because there might be other people out there that cant patch their game.
