Can you upgrade the Chemical / Toxin general? Cause the Infantry gen will win against the Chemical / Toxin gen. IMO Chemical / Toxin gen is the weakest general of the whole game.


In Contra?? I didn't realy play Contra.04 enough to say, but in Contra.03 I thaught Chem was very strong. the silicon clouds were death to my aircraft, and all his ohter units were pretty good too.

Its most likely just a matter of play style. Most players favor a Turtle and power/super weapon game play, so the say SupW and Nuke are the strongest, (nuke realy is strongest in Contra) but if you really like a rush Robot and Flame are grerat generals. Tanks are great for a mass attack etc... Stealth general is a true love it or hate it army.... as long as you play what fits your style you'll feel they are strong.

Between now and the next polished release there should be very little new art work done. Instead the focus is on designing, testing, and fixing. the mod has always been so close to finished that its nearly criminal. I'd love to see this through to the end with a real community effort.

Personly my fav faction generals are
US airforce gen (cyber gen is damn good so is sw but USAF gen just beats them)
China infantry gen has always been my fav but untill i seen the infantry gen in remix V3 i wont comment on them, can't wait for the nest wip :p
But so far tank gen pawns, only weak early on, but becomes hell incarnate.
In contra Demo general was by far my fav, but again till the gla sides in remix are done i will hold judgment, stealth gens very fun general if u play it right.

My fav gen is Airforce. Build about 10 Hercules' and drop all their infantry at the enemy's base. Then for the final attack you use a few B-2 Spirit's or B52 (that planes that carries 4 Tomahawk Missiles) supported by King Raptors or Combat Chinooks / Appaches. PWNED! Cyber gen is to awesome with his robot troopers, however, in Contra 005 he will realy become my fv gen i think (spiders, storm troopers, etc)! Contra FTW! :lol:

Yeah Airforce Tank Flame and Nuke rule! I once had an multiplayer with two airforce against two tankers, when the two tank guys made their assault on my and my friends base it was such a butchering! First wave of attack aircraft took out the battlefield airdefence and then the resault was quite clear second wave where heavy bombers screwing the tanks and then Raptors and Rapiers screwed the leftovers, while the fighters where dealing with the remaining tanks we send our B-52s to take out the air defence and then the Rapiers and B-2 were dealing with production buildings and dozers the hole thing has been one heck of micro managment but it worked out

LMAO get 4 ac150s and your friend should have then uses them to give your defence line air cover and u will be fine, that AC150 >> all else. lol

the AC-150 aren't so good they are very good if you took out the airdefences but with the airdefences still online forget it

They need ammo limets how else will it be balanced and what about getting them to come back for repairs?

i think they should have more ammo
what is the point of flying a plane into the battfield if it is only going 2 have 5 shots(or maybe 10 i forgot but that is still not alot)?

Tiker, its got 40 rounds. 20 rounds per gun, 2 seperate guns. Only the first one shows ammo pips becasue they run out at the same time.

No. The 40 works exceedingly well... almost lasts too long even. When an aircraft has too much ammo it stays and circles the target and soaks up ground fire. Its very uggle after a while. More ammo means more planes lost.

small forces came at me when i had nothing but when i built a tech center a whole shit load of enemy came
the Ai is really hard now
last time i beat it because he had 2 much units and his assulting force and retreating force got stuck so all his units were at home base when the nuke went off

no. its pretty indescriminate. It attacks you when its ready. Sometimes it rushes, sometimes it builds up first.

If you play as the Demo gen, you a generals power, but it does not work (it's the power with a red background and black cash).

i was playing agianest easy(and almost beat by it 2)
the easy builds alot of units so on my vrappy system it is kind of laggy
does a smaller resolution reduce the lag?

NO!! more resolution adds more lag, try forcing clay through a strainer. lower you graphix settings and resolution. I dont know about you but I love the feeling of a line of overlords & nuke launchers raining hell on the enemies bases. :p :p

Any way going back a page I wanted Warmasters to look intimatading like Shockwaves upgrade. I didn't know that armour & firepower was better, I thought the rate of fire was increased. You guys post a lot! I only post once or twice a day.
