I heard someone say that if you took away the postern gate it would be very hard to hold off ballistas, anyway if you edit the wall to take away the parts of the gathouse that have the postern gate , I'm pretty sure you can just edit them in in wrold builder.Do you have the two towers in front of the gate like the movie? And will Rohan have Theoden's guard people?
Many of the parts for Helm's Deep will be edited in some way, especially the gate area.
Rohan has the units called Helm's Defenders and ther are meant to be Theoden's guards

I don't want it to be really easy, but I also don't want a siege weapon operated by 2 uruks bringing down my entire army. The battle should be about the actual hand to hand fighting IMO, not a case of destroying all the defenders with use of a few ballistas...

All the information you need to know should be here The website is a little screwed up right now since it's being redone but it should tell everything you need to knowI have a question what is the the mod abaut does it add new factions or units?

No, I haven't... Didn't even know if they had a Helm's Deep in it Sure, make a drawing if you wish to I've been studying the entire layout of HD and got it mostly figured out. Just trying to figure out some of the inside stuff out nowhave you ever played The third age?? (game not the site )
because the helm's deep in that game is waaay different than the EA's one.

the helms deep on that game is WAAAYY cooler and more realistic - i think i remember reading something years ago where they said the actual plans and stuff used for the movie was lent to EA to make Helms Deep more believable
Its actually perfect butt...

would be extremely hard to make it ingame (in BFME2) a very complicated castle it is...
ie (for one) just the weaponry is underneath the main keep which is accessed through a whole in, the keep/hornburg bit which is at the moment one model.
Then you have the tall stairs which at the top have a shooting platform and a door leading to the hornburg- although a version of that is in this mapmod which is cool
okay that probably didnt make sense

i've been busy for you already. but i'm not very pleased with the results thusfar.
do you want it like a map or 3d??
edit: it's done. I'm not to pleased with it but it's better than what i had before.
you might want to open up paint or another program to zoom in. With red i've detailed some things.

Very interesting So there are 8 pillars in the throne room correct? and where are the glittering caves located? Also, do you know where the armory location is? The stables are in unique spot...perhaps I can put something thereokay,

i think the armoury was directly under the..... inner keep bit... as in you go through the gate and up the ramp on the right is an entrance into it
