@drogoth:
Well, I'm glad to hear that he's still alive, how corny that might sound, and just to say: Everyone that leaves modding is still interested in it :p I've wanted to finish my mod, and make a lot of other mods, but it doesn't mean it happens. And we already know that he had to leave, for a long or longer while, and may not be coming back. Just like Cel ;) Real life's like that. It can drain your energy so there's nothing left to modding, but it can also recharge your energy.

Needles to say, don't up the hopes of people :p

I wouldn't say it's quite the same as Cel's case since, as far as I'm aware, no one's been able to even reach him since he disappeared. I don't think we even know what happened to Celeglin, and I doubt we ever will at this point.

That's getting pretty ancient now though :crazed:

As in he contacted you later to give you the RA stuff after the community lost track of him? The plot thickens!

This happened well over two years ago. It's sort of public knowledge, but it wasn't something we shouted about.

Hmm, this is the first time I hear about this too.

In other news, I've passed all of my 5 very hard exams this summer with more than decent scores. Looks like studying law isn't just interesting, but I can deliver as well. Yay me!

It's not exactly public knowledge if it's in the password protected Team Chamber.

That was for Rob. I'm sure it's been mentioned/hinted at in public (we showed off some of the stuff he gave us).

Rob, Rob, Rob, let's wake up the mob,
They're coming to let you know, Cel was here two years ago,
Now you're running late, and it's just a matter of fate,
That you now run the Community Edition, maybe it was your mission

I'm no songwriter, but you get the idea.. It's basically as good with rythm as the Norwegian translated songs in LotR :good:

I celebrate that Sheffield, my university, just massacred Newcastle on University Challenge, 315 points to 70. For those that don't know, University Challenge is a quiz show which is notoriously difficult and has no prize but the pride of having represented your university and shown off your vast array of really quite specific knowledge about a wide variety of subjects. For example, one set of questions was about the stylistic choices of nigh-unheard of artists from centuries long past, while another was to recognise the theme tune of Doctor Who and name the actor who played said Doctor in the series when that was the theme tune (they're all more or less the same).

Anyway, we won, Newcastle lost, I'm happy.
I hope I am a good enough writer that some day dwarves kill me and drink my blood for wisdom.

The prize is that for every round you win, you get to spend more time with Jeremy Paxman.

A truly noble pursuit indeed.
