It looks like they are - they have staircases, so my guess is they would be. It's got a gate as well, so it would make plenty sense.

Was that meant to be a pun? :D Also, just saying this for the sake of it: shouldn't Gondor, being the fortress/stronghold-type turtle-based faction, have something similar with their camps? I know you guys don't want to go through all the work of redesigning the camp and what-not (I don't want you to, frankly), I'm just giving my opinion.

Olorin: [justification] Gondor has it own distinct advantages when turtling - trebuchets, lots of plots, lots of strong archers. They just have to be more mobile when defending their camps which only have a fence, and they can do that - they have access to cavalry from the start and even more cavalry after building a Dol Amroth outpost. The walled camp in part compensates for the Dwarves' lack of mobility in that area. It's also restrictive though, as it has one less plot than the average camp, and Erebor's archers are powerful but not as numerous or versatile as the mannish ones. Of course, that last point could change if you have an Ered Luin building, though chances are the Venturers could be put to better uses than guarding your camp.

Also while Gondor might be turtly, in LOTR there's no more effective turtlers than the Dwarves :D [/justification]

Great, can't wait for the castle.

Could be some time. Considering how long this took... though I hope I'll manage to do as good a job. Spent some time sketching concepts today and it could be very fun to play with.

So concept work is still being done on RA.interesting.
Have you guys thought of putting up concept art as an news update or something i've seen very little concept from RA.It's a;ways interesting to see if the finished product resembles the concept sketches.
;)
Love the idea Dwarves with camp walls to me a minute to realise you were talking about camps and that was original ;)

Hopefully the Erebor section of the site will be up shortly.

Well, I don't have a scanner and you don't want to look at my scribbled schematics in the margins of my uni notes anyways.

Is the first image one of it at Rank 2 or 3? It's some really outstanding work there again. I love the style you've come up with for Dwarven architecture, I really feels like it would be made by Dwarves. Amazing work. Can I ask, what does it do? Recruit elites (looks like there are sitting areas, maybe it's like a well or something)? Anyway, fantastic work as always.
