That's not what I mean. I'm not talking about stat bonuses, but about an easy way to get your units positioned the right way (and to deliver eye candy). A bit like how the units come on the screen if you invade a region during the campaign.
Am I Belgian or Flemish? Hmm, me thinks I'll just stick to European...

a "Battle Formation" button might be useful... I dunno how hard it would be to code tho... something that would tell archers to get behind infantry and Cavalry to go to the Flanks... hmm... Genius People?

I always quick key several battalions into "mobs" of archers or infantry or cavalry and just order them to separate positions to create rough formations... good formations can actually be devastating if you micromanage them properly... as opposed to wild disordered army running in like maniacs... :p

I've got an idea concerning Both Mordor and Isengard, about Orc labourers (Snaga). They're intended to be the slaves of Sauron right?

My idea is that you could order a singe orc labourer to enter a base resource structure i.e a Slaughter house or Furnace, once there, resource production rate is increased.

Also another note, concerning Isengard and base fortitude. As a Spellbook power or possibly an upgrade from the Fortress (requireing certain buildings at certain levels), the player is able for purchass 'Pike Fortifications', which constructs a pallisade of pikes facing outwards for defense, to act a sort of miniwall. Because it's a pike wall, any cavalry unit that attacks it suffers heavy damage as you'd expect from a cavalry assult on pikemen. Melee Infantry aren't so effected by contact damage, and could destroy it. Basically it acts as a mini wall, but can be attacked by units, and has the same or similar health to a Castle Citadel.

I don't see much point in the Orc Labourer idea - they already have a production role in cutting down trees for fuel, and if Isengard's 'Industry' power isn't taken away then they already have that to boost production. It would offset the whole early-game resource 'shortage': you build a Lumber Mill, get a few Labourers and stick 'em in all your Slaughter Houses - bam, instant economy boost, which would be a pretty big advantage over your opponent who's still struggling (unless you're in a mirror match :xd:).

I do like the palisade idea, though. But the walls having the same amount of health as the Citadel would be a little much, don't you think? Maybe lower it to about the equivalent of Rohan camp walls in the vanilla game. :xd:

...The Journey doesn't end here; death is just another path, one that we all must take. The grey rain curtain of this world rolls back, and all turns to silver glass. And then you see it. White shores...and beyond. A far green country, under a swift sunrise...

...Many folk like to know beforehand what is to be set on the table; but those who have laboured to prepare the feast like to keep their secret; for wonder makes the words of praise louder...

I know there's been little activity in these particular forums, besides the release of the dazzling new screenshots, frequent questions, and concern about the Team's activity. Bust if there if there are any passers by then let us revive this once thriving forum.

Anyway, I was doing a bit of reserch on the Blue Mountains; and the local Dwarf colony, and hoping not to impede on any set decisions of the team, I learned that The dwarves of Ered Luin exelled in metal craftswork, so I was wondering if mabye an upgrade or a passive power from the Ered Luin minifaction building could involve a damage improvement to dwarven weoponry.

It was all I could uncover, I'm sure the Team have beaten me to it, but do reply where ever you are.

Nice idea,looked it up to.

Including Theodred in Rohan will complete the faction.
Sins he was a great warrior and throneheair.

Dwarwes are the coolest and best faction, can't wait to play it!
And making Dale to it's own faction will make the Dwarwen faction better.
Kicking orc butt is going to be easy with heavy armoured dwarwes! =)

Much Off-topic,but what the heck!

Are you suggesting that Dale should be amalgamated into the Erebor faction?

If so, then all the team's work on Dale would prove a waste, I for one don't approve of such an idea. The Dwarves will be powerful enough without Dale's support.

he stated that when Dale is it's own faction, it's also making the Dwarven faction better, since it doesn't have to contain dale units ;) (think BFME2)

You don't have to be sorry for that.

However, can you have BFME2 models and skins in BFME1?
Including the BFME2 Mirkwood Archer would be great,I think it looks great.

Yes, you can but it's technically illegal to take artwork from one game and put it in another. Besides, with artists like Nertea, they can create awesome work without having to rely on EA materials.

Agreed, the EA Elves looked nothing like the Weta designs.

There really isn't any need to reduce the artistry of the Mirkwood units to EA's. Besides the role of stealthed elite archers is already covered by the Mirkwood Thirrad.

have you seen any of these units yet? :evgr:
I can agree that the concept of the units was good in BFME2, because, well... If it's elves, they have to have something from Mirkwood...
but that's it :)

Anyways, yeah not happening. They're not fully horrible, but they should stay in a game that matches the cartoony style.

I really don't do requests and my Arnor Soldier is not fit for BFME. Don't ask me for either.
