no i dont think it is, because what pend has planned for assult GLA in remix is a lot different than in contra.

and for the remix 3 movie, dont assotiate it with contra, because they have become seperate mods, althougth there is some shared content.

forget about GLA right now if anyone does a vid with GLA in let pend do it, Once we have the wips with the gla in then u can do it. Ther eis no rush and that does not mean rush in and throught another mod ie: contra gla or anything into the vid its a promo for "remix" so it should only show remix stuff.

if remix 3 doesn't have a scud storm in it, then i wont play it.
thats about all the GLA content for this movie.
and you do realize that without contra, this mod probably wouldn't exist, so well let pend decide whether he wants association with contra in the movie.
and "some" is an understatement there is alot of shared content, at least 40%

thats a nice rough estimation lol.

ofc GLA has a scud storm, but the GLA isnt done yet, so no point in including it atm in the video.
and if it doesnt have a scud storm, no one is asking you to play it

i was only saying dont assotiate it with contra, because they are seperate mods now, and if some people see that it is like contra, they might not play it because they might think it has the ranking system, not the tech escalation system.

ofc it is upto pend, by imo, i dont think you should show a contra logo in the video.
And yes, with out contra this mod proabaly wouldnt exist, but how it is now is nothing to do with contra. contra was just a starting point where pend learned to mod, and he changed different things in contra, eventually changing enough things to make it his own mod.

well if this is aimed at people who never played much mods or have never heard of revora, then they wouldn't know about contra, thus not being able to think it has the ranking system and not playing it because of this.

and honestly who really cares, its just a mod no need to get hyped up about association. (not targeting you specifically Olli just generally)

and a *scud storm is a scud storm, since it will inevitably be in the game, it shouldn't matter. and it would be stupid to put a different super weapon, where they guy says scudstorm.

well it depends on what pendaelose has planned.
the scud storm isnt planned for assult gen or chem gen, it may be planned for demo/stealth.

im not getting hyped up about assotiation, its just that people might get confused if you mention contra in the beginning and remix at the end.

i personally think no other names should be mentioned, just remix, as you are advertising remix, not contra.

I don't have a problem with contra all i am saying is the mod if different from contra now sure it was started based on contra but pend has said countless times that both mods are completely different now appart from some units and the way ther coded... also pends gla planes are nothing like the contra gla and thus why i said ignore the gla for now cos its not worth doign till its out in remix.

well, ask pend if he is planning on using the scud storm, i dont know his exact plans.

but change the part where it says "carpet bombing" to the saturation bombing from AF gen, his last superwepaon, not the cluster bombing one.

I am pretty sure 1 team will have the scud storm in some respect... all of the other basic sws have been used ie: partical cannon and basic nuke.

and a *scud storm is a scud storm, since it will inevitably be in the game, it shouldn't matter. and it would be stupid to put a different super weapon, where they guy says scudstorm.

He actualy says "Scud Launcher". So fancy new Heavy Scud defeness and Stealths Scud Silos can be shown. Ofcourse there WILL be a basic scud storm, but I think its kind of a waste to show it in the video.

As for Contra... it shouldn't be in the intro. While the unit lists may share 30-40% of the content the balance and style is 100% different. The shared content is the minority, and many of the units that are included in both mods have different cost, damage, health, and sometimes completely different weapons. If you look at it on "what stayed the same" it drops the shared content even lower... down to less than 10%

All in all, they're very very different mods now, and the Contra logo does not belong anywhere in the titlework.

ok will do, ill get some better footage tonight for now ill leave the scudstorm cos i dont have any wips of gla, maybe pend you could send me some, if you have done the scud launcher.
and ill remove the logo, hell ill remove the association part.

ive talked to creator and now im also making a movie for contra aswell, i felt kinda guilty just making one for remix. ill finish remix first though.

and pend, any specific stuff you want shown?

i think you all forgot one thing, that really needs to be shown in generals....
AF gens ORCAs! Taking off from the pad and engaging targets, and some other good units/ superwepaons etc

pretty much all mechs and stormtrooper, with the drop pod power

SupwGens SDI cannon and long arm laucnhers, and possibley her hydrogen bomb

laser gens particle and plasma tree and the anubus tanks

nuke generals retrebution tanks, and the other various nuke units- and the MIRV superweapon

show the mobile superwepaons, and other powers that are good


infantry gens battlefortress and other infantry realated cool toys

tank gens lightening tanks, overcharging, and all the heavy tanks, e.g chimera etc

flame gens heavy flame units, such as the immolator and the effreet and the iron fist etc and the superweapon

EDIT: Pend, ive only just realised, watching your second video again, but when you are showing the GLA units (mammoths etc) your fighting agianst a GLA AI, right?

is that contra AI or have you started work on a GLA one?
