although i love my goblins, i think this is a cool idea. does mordor get gob heroes too? i always wanted shelob in mordor...

IF this would be done, then Shelob and the Goblin King (isn't that the Great Goblin btw?) would be moved to Mordor as well yes. Maybe I should list that too... *forgot*

Yes yes! What a coincidence, I was thinking about this lately... About removing the Goblins and giving minifactions to the other factions... So now we have a minifaction for Mordor, and the Goblins removed. Great! Although I liked Garisson Nomad's drawings (I mean the ideas and armor, not so much the big ears :p). But we can always give them new units... Or maybe for a campaign *thinks about possibilities*.

I don't know about this one. Seems that Mordor gains alot more things, while the Evil Men faction really has nothing to build upon. Just look what you listed for the Evil Men faction, there's really nothing there at all at the moment.

If going this route, you should make Evil Men a mini-faction for Mordor, and improve upon the Goblins as a whole.

maybe split the Goblins into 2 and give half to Mordor and half to Isengard. This way everyone has a minifaction except for the Evil Men, which we could figure one out

Gondor has Rohan
Elves has Hobbits
Dwarves has Dale
Mordor has part of Goblins
Isengard has part of Goblins.
Evil men has has ??

Gorkil cant be the Great Goblin because EA doesnt have rights to the The Hobbit where Great Goblin appears but I guess that is what they used as some kind of inspiration ;)

But about this idea, how much would you think it would add to the time to wait the final release ? I bet it would be ALOT ;)
BTW I voted I guess it sounds cool, but I'm not sure? because Im surely interested to see how you would make Evil Men faction. Because even though everybody about always says that it aint unique, every mod can make Evil Men different from the other mods if wanted :p

lol, well Evil Men ARE already a mini faction of Mordor, right? ;)

The idea would be to make them a real faction instead. Finding units for them would NOT be a problem... The problem is the work load :p

I like your concepts Nazgul, but you could give the Goblin units to isengard as spamming units and possibly give the Half Trolls to Evil men replaced by goblin pikemen, Goblin arechers become elite archers due to the skill of shooting in the dark and poisoned arrows. Gorkil could be put in the Goblin Cave, and Drogoth can be called from the Gorgoroth Spire. And he can summon three fire Drakes.

Easterling Archers - Basic archers
Haradrim Archers - Elite Archers
Harad Tribesmen - basic Spearmen
Soldiers of Rhun - Elite spearmen
Haradrim Raiders - Light Cavalry

I voted yes.... But don't take all of UK's ideas....

for each Easterling unit, there's a better or worse Haradrim.... I'd like to see Evil Men as Evil Men..

Easterlings
Haradrim
Khandish forces
Dunlendings (yeah, their Isengard, but still Evil)
And so on... if there's more to it :p

But yeah, dunlendings are at Isengard, but seeing gobbo's perhaps going there, why not just remove them, and place them in Evil Men?
I mean, nobody every said anything about a Men of Shadow faction, aye? ;)

How many mods have an evil men faction? Try coming up with something more unique and I might actually offer you some constructive ideas, rather than summing up the entire thread in one word :p

Personally, I'd say split Rohan/Dale out of their respective faction(s) and replace goblins with them. That way is atleast unique (maybe not the Rohan thing, but the good/evil unbalance).

Lets face it, evil is split into two groups, Isengard and Mordor. Even these 2 are not very independent. Good however is split up into tons of independently acting kingdoms. It's not like the evil side where 1 lord holds dominion over all. I say unbalance good/evil (not that it makes a tiny bit of difference, for all you morons who are bound to come in arguing that there is now more good factions than evil).

Also, with evil being squashed into two factions, it gives them more variety, which IMO they have always lacked.

agreed, zimoo does have a point. I really think gobs should go to isengard instead of mordor, though. I think isen even brought them to helms deep (at least they did in TTT game, but ehh, that's EA).

I care this much about things having to be original and unique: ____________!!!

I think it's GREAT when they are though, but the idea with a mod (for me) is to make it like you (the author/team) want/s it... and noone has copyright on mod ideas. So if someone else have done the same... well they have and that's it. I've always wanted it this way, regardless of how many others have done it or not, and I wont change the idea =p
I just wanted to know what you guys think of it. But as often, you get to be the most critizising part, which is fine. ;) Just don't expect me to pay any attention to it :p
