And some orcs looked creepier than other in the films like one who drank the blood of Gondorian so maybe that was HT?

I've given this a lot of thought lately, and I'd really like to investigate WHY we can't overcome the problem of a 7th faction... (The no CaH thing, and no stats and what not).

I'm gonna give you fans an assigment: try and find info about this and if there's a solution to it? ;)

That way we could end up with 7 factions instead:

- Men
- Elves
- Dwarves
- Mordor
- Isengard
- Moria (Goblins)
&
- Evil Men (Haradrims, Easterlings & Corsairs)

^ If we could get that working, I guess this would be the solution that would please the biggest majority of SEE Players? :p

but the Cah and stuff like that is Hardcoded, so there's no way to get Cah and Stats for the Evil Men, unless you skip the mod to RotWK ;) (which I'd say no to :p)

YEsh, the only way we would go there is if we couold reset the colors and sh*t to the green theme of BFME2 :p

Does RotWK's ini pack replace any objects, weapons and other stuff (much like a map ini does), or does it have seperate stuff? There have been so many changes to the ini files that it is not to my liking to go and change the things all over again. If we use RotWK, it should better be possible to port our files easily. :)

LOTRsJunkie: No, we won't do that, sorry :/ Adding a faction is MAAAJOOOR work, and I for one wont be bothered splitting men, since I don't think it necessary. I know that many want this, but my idea is that I want factions divided by race primarily and men are men, Gondorians as well as Rohirrims. (The EvilMen are separated since they fight for Evil). And just adding that faction would be pure pain... even if I really wanna do it :)

Yeah sure, you can always ask. And don't dispair... who knows what happens in the future. Working on this mod with this team has proven to be so much fun, that it feels like we're part of a little family. Maybe we will do more versions of SEE when the mod is finished. Just to keep working together... Who knows :)

What if you didn't add any factions, but instead made it where at startup there was this thing that said "select your minifaction" and you could choose between gondor and rohan? It would just skin buildings differently, but it would make different units/heroes available. I think you could do this...and if two players where men, one could be gondor and the other could be rohan.

theoretically you could do the same with mordor...if you really wanted to.

In short: way too much work. Just cause we call them "mini" it won't make it any less of a work load. Reskinning wont make a structure look Rohan instead of Gondor. We would need new models, new skins, new animations...

We'll have one extra faction or none =)

aight. If you go the evil men rought, what kind of gameplay would u see from them? massable high-damage units sounds like what i'd see...and if you remember in BFME1 soldiers of rhun were absolute gods. it'd be cool if they return, either with evil men or as they are now.

IF we get to this point, it would mean teh gathering of all existing things that are Easterlings, Haradrims and Corsair + the adding of new units off course and structures with all that comes with it = major work, but with a great result in the end, I hope :thumbsupsmiley:

This faction would be a faction of weak to very weak structures (wood and tents). Units would be very skilled archers (Haradrim) and regular swordsmen (Haradrim or/and Easterlings), good spearmen (Easterlings), minor cavalry (Easterling Riders) and major cavalry (Mûmakil) with Muhad Rider upgrades. Support units (Corsairs)... and a selection of 6-7 heroes. Something like that... =)
