Well...what faction are you guys working on right now? I'd like to contribute anything i can.

Oh, and a friend and I are going to start working on a model for Bolg. If you like it, you're welcome to use it.
If I were you and you were me I'd have a different face.

Sûl, that sounds good. I naturally hope we can work together on SEE as long as possible :crazed:

GN: Sure, if it turns out good, we can use it =) In the mean time you could start toying with alternate skins for Goblins (since I know you really like them). Can't promise that we will use them though, since I have no idea how far up the skill ladder you are, but please feel free to try :p

--- OT START ---

I was not 'slipping' either, but rather adding levity. You need to relax a bit and back off to some degree and think before stating things.

First of all: I told you once before, that if you want ME to pay any attention to YOUR posts... which I gather must be the reason for you posten them, IF you want them to affect the SEE mod, you need to KEEP IT SIMPLE! I can't be expected to read an ESSAY from you each time you post!!! You post interesting stuff and your knowledge about Tolkien seems to be at a very high level.... but I do NOT have the time to read them whem you keep them that loooooong. You MUST try to "keep it simple" and to the point if you want ME to pay any attention to them, which equals having the chance to affect this mod!

Secondly: Do not EVER act like a "dad" and correct me in that manner!!! This is my mod, my forum and my rules! If I say that I see things in a way you are naturally free to disagree and "stand your ground" / state your cause, or whetever you wanna call it, but start talking about "me not being born when you gathered that knowlegde" or whatever, and especially; "You need to relax a bit and back off to some degree and think before stating things"... THAT will only get you a ban from here! Gimme another reason to Warn you and I will. But don't think I can't have you ported from here in an instant! :crazed:

I'm NOT trying to act cool or anything, but trying to keep order in here. And since this forum is the SEE forums, and the SEE mod is my mod, I guess that makes me the boss, wether you like it or not!

And thirdly, for the record: I'm not 13, 14, 16 or 19 yo like many others here... I'm a 34 yo journalist, soon to be 35, so I'm not just some random school kid that you can act "all grown up" over, ok? Same with Sûl, who's my "next in command" in here - he's well over his 30's too...

Now, you can approve or you can dislike this, but this is the way it it and noone is forcing you to stay here, but if you do, you need to listen to me and Sûl, or get out :p

NOT TO BE FORGOTTEN: I really DO feel honoured that you 1) Found the SEE mod 2) Found us and the forum here and 3) That you go to great length to contribute with interesting information and 4) That you seem to really like what we have done with this mod. Just don't "flip out", k? Stay friendly and listen to the rules, just like everybody did when they were new, and we'll all get along fine you'll see

PS: Clatu, Verata, Nictu

--- OT END ---

Listen chief. Don't ever think I am acting like your Dad. You have a problem and that's it. grow-up buddy and get off my back. I have been complimentary and nice.

You have a big problem and are acting like a complete jerk.

Good riddance, Chris

Whats wrong with being 13, 14, 16, or even 19? You talk like people of those ages are just faking it when they are being smart, wise, or mature. I always thought people judge by age too much. I know 30 year olds with no maturity or wisdom and 14 year olds with plenty of it.

All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

fuck the shut up!

@Strider
He's just saying that most here are the youth... There aren't many above 30 years on these forums, so if one old guy gets here, he can't start acting a parent, as Gor does, but Naz and Sul doesn't :p He's not implying anything wrong with the youth :crazed:

@Gor
Listen old man, don't take on this matter so easily  if you want to take it on easily, then start acting like a forum member, not a parent (a bad one too imo). It's You that have a big problem and you need to grow-up and get off our, and especially Naz's, back. And you haven't been complimentary and nice, at all. It's just that your from the Feudal Age, where the parents are always right.

Again, as you said yourself, You have a big problem and are acting like a complete jerk. And I don't doubt you are

edit: and why is this in the wrong topic again? You can't hold a topic can yeh now... tch tch tch

GorGor... You are not welcome here any more. Good bye, and good job on getting banned so fast. You are at least not welcome in SEE forums any more and I will delete any further posts from you.

@ Strider: yes, what Lauri said is exactly right :p

I think we don't need any more off topic comments to this. So back to the topic! :crazed:

Men of Darkness vs. Goblins?

One reason this will definitely not be done soon is this: Goblins have a beautiful and function fortress and a lot of beautiful and functional buildings. Men of Darkness don't. When our priorities change, or rather when our current priorities have been dealt with, we will certainly setup a new working plan, if the future in which this plan is to be setup is accommodating, hehe. :p

Yeah ^ But once more: I won't change them... :p

The ONLY changes that could happen is what is described in this thread's initial post =p

- (Good) Men
- Elves
- Dwarves
v/s
- Mordor
- Isengard
- Evil Men

So ideas and suggestions other than that is actually only a waste of time ;)

Ahh, ok. Well, personally I'd scrap dwarves...but that's me. And besides, building a new faction from scratch is a headpain. You have to find buildings, buildERS, new units, and all that coding stuff. In a very flimsy nutshell. Though, dwarven architecture does seem rather...Rohanish...

Are you planning on adding new minifactions? IMO either mordor should get evil men more minifackish, or isen should get gobs as some kind of siege/meatshield unit.
If I were you and you were me I'd have a different face.

This is cause discussion kept heading there instead of stying on topic; EvilMen Factions's be or not to be, and why :p

So, let's keep discussing this in here and Goblins in THERE! :p ^

Having just given the battles for gondor mod a bash I must say Evil Men as a faction instead of Goblins would make the mod even better than its current high standard. Firstly, it means the horrible units EA made up will be gone (spider rider, half trolls - pretty much everything). Secondly, as already shown their are plenty of available buildings, and there is a wealth of potential unit choices. Thirdly, it gives more emphasis to the world of men in the mod, something which was central to the LOTR experience.

^ My point exactly, but you have TOUGH opposition here in all the Gobbo-lovers, hehe

We might end up adding them as a 7th faction too... but that is like option 3, sinve it would:
- Disable CaH
- Disable all stats after a game

(darn EA) =p

hey, if eventually gobs get cut to isen or sumthin and Evil men/harad get added in, would half-trolls go to Evil men? They could be reskinned. There was a great Evil man Half-troll skin in BoG. They were Rawrsum.

Oh, and hopefully maybe someone will work a way around the 6 faction limit problem. HOPEFULLY....

Hard to say, since this is so far away... but. maybe? I do like the way they look like giant goblins though, but in general I don't like the unit as a part of the game.

Q: Are there or are there not Half Trolls in Tolkiens books - ever?
Q1: Wasnt there a FAST glimpse of something looking like them that RUSHED by the camera in RotK when the gates to Minas Tirith broke, right after the Attack Trolls had charged in... I seem to remember something looking like that, running past the screen... ?

Half-trolls were mentioned as being great men of Harad I think... I'm not sure their name was half-trolls, but I'm quite sure...

Edit: found a link: http://www.pricemini...es-de-jeux.html

But you might ask Zimoo or someone else, just to be sure.
