But the fact that Gondor survived may not be a big factor since they really didn't tick as many people off as Arnor. Arnor pretty much plotted the doom of the wicked little things running around middle-earth. So maybe the witch and his buddies tried a little harder to pummel Arnor. What little devient wouldn't want Arnor gone? (Especialy Angmar) But who cares, it's a ghost town now so Gondor wins...
Eh... now you got me going off on it somehow... just think of something totaly new for both besides blacksmiths or farms. Or offer both as choices.

"From this seal shall arise the doom of men,"
"who, in their arrogance, sought to wield our fire as their own."
"Blindly they build their kingdoms upon stolen knowledge and conceit."
"Now they shall be consumed by the very flame they sought to control."
"Let the echoes of doom resound across this wretched world, that all who live may hear them and despair."
"Tremble, mortals, and despair! Doom has come to this world!"

Anyways, I'd say the houses and the blacksmith provided resources for Gondor at a limited rate, perhaps limit one blacksmith, and for every additional house after, say 5, the amount of resources gained diminishes.
(Should be in the Arnor thread, but oh well.) For Arnor, well...I think I willl post my idea there.

Gondorian Houses increase population cap and resource draw of both the Blacksmith and Marketplace.
Idea 1: Limit the houses. Say every house increases resource draw by 75% each. So, you limit the houses to 5 or 6. Each gives a large boost to the population(50 - 100), and to the resource draw.
>>Kinda overpowering, and unrealistic, except in the sense of everyone pulling their fair share in a fort. Limited space, but most houses are built for multiple families, and soo each would provide a larger boost to the economy.
Idea 2: Limit the resource draw. Instead of 75%, use 15% per house, but don't limit the houses. So, you can build a miniature city near your fort. Each house increases the population (25 -75) and the resource draw.
>>Not as overpowering, and this is quite realistic, I think. Each family is likely to send one or two members to work as a smithy or a vendor. More for the city like feeling.
Marketplace provides a decent amount of resources, but multiple can be built; dependent upon the Houses to increase resource draw.
Blacksmith provides a larger amount of resources (realistic, because weapons and armour would cost more than raw materials) but a limited number (ie 2 or 3) can be built; also dependent upon Houses for larger resource draw.
Not sure what every one will think. Personally, I don't even believe it's possible...but we can hope, no?
