RJ ai unedited owns rotwk ai...because rob changed the bonus from 15% discount and build time off to 50% discount :xd: So everything is half as costly...but rob's been editing it as he goes...and now brutal is quite a challenge.



lol i newer knew this :xd: though i beat brutal in normal or Rj map ( i cant play multiplayer for some reason, soo basically i pick up the hardest to get at least some action that human could do ), i newer they that they are getting discount . . . .

lool . . . really now . damn i kinda felt that they have more units for same price as me, but that much discount ? i alway thought that Brutal - just mean harder AI, making stronger stuff, heroes, upgrades everything, not that it makes the whole faction cheaper.

was it 50% already in the oldre wersion or just in the newest one ? (50% is kinda too much, + harder AI, make it 35% or something, soo i can breathe sometimes, during the game too )

just played rohan vs a medium dwarves....... well i have to say that the zealots are op and the ai spams them like hell..... it took lv5 eomer, lv6 theoden and a battalion of mounted royal guards to kill 2 hordes of them

also i found that the ai was only interested in destroying buildings so he overlooked my units and went streight for structures which was very annoying

Yea, I hate how they run past units, so the first part of my game I try to keep some units behind first.
For the internet, my dad is like a freak about being safe over the computer, so he doesn't want to open all of the ports to play the game online. Also, he opened the ports stated and it still didn't work, he had to open even more.

If you lose, with that discount, I can see why the AI can spam soooo many catapults for Arnor and soooo many battering rams for Isengard.
Even with the discount, it gives you a challenge but not as fun with other people.

well i newer loose to brutal, if im playing " my race " ( means race that i play mostly - Gondor/Isen ), with other ones its just a bit more challange, but always win

. . . . i only loose with elfes played against two brutal isens, and got pwn damn it.

btw to the discount, was kinda funny i managed to finally get faramir, and mordor buddy poped out withcking :xd: i was like HUH :xd: how could he get 5k soo quickly ( didnt know about the 50% discount yet ) :p

A 50% discount...that explains why brutal Goblins are so frickin' hard...

Seriously, I beat (on Dunharrow) hard Goblins in thirteen or fourteen minutes, but nearly always lose against brutals. I use Dwarves. Maybe I'll try to use demolishers early--I usually go for a hero heavy strat, where I use Bilbo, Brand II, Gloin, Thorin IV and Gimli to hold off the never-ending streams of goblins and trolls until they're high leveled, and then I attack with lots of guardians and phalanxes.

I'd say go for a bunch of phalanx/axethrower guardian/axethrower combos with demolishers for trample support. Maybe Dain or Gloin to take out any stray trolls. Lvl the forge by demolishers, get some mithril, and your set :p Assuming you havn't won already with the demolishers in their base.

Please...no. Op'ing siege weapons is a very bad idea. Nearly all the siege weapons of the evil factions are all op'ed already, and need to be nerfed. They can destroy two expansions of the Fortress in a single shot. In the RJ maps, one hit from the siege weapon and the towers down.

The best way of making a faction the strongest (causing an imbalance) imo is buffing siege weapons too much. They are key to winning most games.

i kinda think, that not siege should be nerfed, but buildings should be a bit stronger. As for the expansions, they are wery weak and even some normal inantry is able to take them down if used correctly.

and for the walls of good faction - they need to be " selectable " as target. for its kind stupid, that battering ram cant smash a wall, ( like in BFME ) and needs to take down gate, and only gate to make you enter ( without leaders, or towers )

in the new wersion ?. for rams in my ( the older - current ), cant :(

the only way to get in is, either manual fire catapult, or troll, rams just come close but wont start attacking

If you're talking about RJ castle walls, then yes, it works. I've done it to Elves and Angmar before with Mordor battering rams.
If you're talking about EA walls, then I have no clue.

He might be talking about RJ walls. I've noticed a lot of Mordor rams just wandering around my Rohan forretresses, although they could have been moving somewhere else, as this was a FFA Old Brown Lands game.

Myrdin, the problem is that every structure in the game will need to be given HP proportional to that of their current HP. That would take a VERY long time indeed. Whereas the few siege weapons that are op can be easily altered. What is the differnce if they have more HP or if the siege was nerfed? The only difference I can think of is that infantry could destroy quicker with less building HP.

I think infantry should no way be able to destroy any castle expansions in the RJ maps. How about it guys? Only siege, dammit. Even then the siege needs heavy nerfing, like at least 50%, maybe more.
