I agree, it it unusual that the Wild Wargs get the warg rider voice over when they get the banner carrier, and that the dunlendings cost more than uruk warriors, especially when Saruman employs them as shock troops and dispensable footsoldiers. To have that rectified for the next version would be nice

Why not give the unupgraded Uruk-hai normal armor which get all rusty when they are upgraded (battle scarred)
Or make the blades blood stained when upgraded.

As far as I know, a new heavy armor skin for the uruk-hai is in the works. :p CTLN's suggestion sounds good as well, like a page taken from the Goblins. :p

Could Isengard's two dragon spells be replaced with something a bit more fitting to their theme?

I was thinking of s spell 'A New Power is Rising', which increases the damage, armour, and attack speed of the Uruk-hai, it would work like a Darkness spell, except the effects are more powerful because they're at a higher tier,

Ah yes, I was thinking that the Dragon spells be replaced as well. :p Hmmm that power sounds interesting, pretty good. Speaking of that quote, I was thinking maybe for the other 25 pp spell be like a dual attack. Basically think of Saruman's spell from FOTR, lightning comes down to stun units, followed by an avalanche.

Both Sound like good powers. My fear is that the Troop buff will have to be tested very much to balance it out. If the power doesn't last long enough, it won't be used due to being a waste in pp. But if it lasts too long, it will be OP. 25pp powers are Very hard hitting powers that hit once to 3 times. Having a buff that lasts too long and being that powerful will just mow down everything.

One major aspect of the evil factions final Spells is in my opinion that they often summon big powerful monsters with a timer. The balrog is the classic example. Furthermore, there are the dragons and the shade of the wolf thingy.

But of course Saruman hadn't any big monsters on his side. He only had his machinery, his wheels and his iron.

So why not create an uber-siegeweapon as Isengards 25p-spell?
I always dreamt of a gigantic ballista, pulled by at least eight Uruk-Hai. With some kind of cow-catcher in front made of uruk-shields an iron-spikes, so it can run over enemies and smash them. The bow of the ballista should be twice as long as usual.
Also, like the balrog, this supreme-ballista should have some destructive abilities.

"whip the draft-uruks": temporary increases speed an override-damage.
"whip the engineers/mechanics": temporary decreases reloading time.
Those abilities cannot be activated together! You have to choose one, and then both timers will run down.
"siege guards": summons uncontrollable Uruk-Hai guards to defend the supreme-ballista. They will patrol on it's sides and front and attack enemies in range.
"launch explosives": the ballista shoots one spear with a mine-warhead. It got wide range and a big explosion range.

Now that would be an isengardish spell. ^^

Agreed, from a distance and surrounded by Uruks it would be a Devastator, but by itself and up-close, it's guards disarmed, it would go down like any seige weopon, it would not survive too long, perhaps long enough to send troops to protect it. Besides I don't see it dissapearing in a puff of mist or dismantling into it's components :)

Guys, I got this idea for at least a year and I never, never found someone who agrees with it. You're so cool! :)

Well, a timer wouldn't be that bad in my opinion. With a timer, we could make its damage even greater, because it's not for long anyway. ^^
Also it do not have to go up in a puff and disappear. It really simply could collapse at the end of the time. I you want an explanation for this, then lets just say that the wood is so damn forced into its bow-form and there is so much pressure on the construction that the screws and bolts could only hold it for short time.

I suppose.

But would it be really resilient against attacking infantry?

I think now we're going a bit too far on the explanation route. :)

And I'm not an expert on game-balance. So when the balista should be vulnerable against infantry, then do it this way.
It got its guards anyway. ^^

My goal is a killing monster-balista which can challenge the balrog in annihilating a fortress.

I really like the ballista idea, it does have a timer, doesn't it?

Is it possible to make the Isengard buildings (except the fortress and clansteadling) look like they are underground.
With this I mean they basically would be like a couple of holes in the ground, so that they would resemble the pits in Isengard itself.
I for one am not into the carnival slide that is called the Uruk pits and the pathetic excuse for a siege works (although it's better than Mordors)
Just imagine Uruk Troopers emerging from a gaping hole in the ground surrounded by flags and banners, and the armory could still be outfitted with a big wheel and cranes lifting and dropping equipment down into a steaming and glowing cave.

I dunno id this was proposed earlier, but sounds cool to me.

Maybe at some point, but that would be a big change for not much of an effect, so it'd be rather low priority.

Granted, it would make Isengard more movie authentic with those building designs, however I agree with Yoda's reason for priority.
