- Could the Uruk hai ( all of theyr Uruk units ) get Bloodthirsty passive abylity - not the one dewouring another units for exp.
but a passive aura for each battalion - they would get " Rage " which would grant them increased dmg, under some circumstances - like: each time they engage battle ( means with pause between fighting ), the first attack of each unit in battalion whos " enraged " would deal 1,5 or 2x as much dmg - only the first hit of each of them, and. only if they have some rest between fight ( fight for 2 minutes, enemy is slayn, after 5 minutes he attacks again - Rage actives again )
basically it would be like in the movie at Helms Deep, they got really " Battle raged " down there. soo i think this could be nice for them to have, always the first hit beying lead by rage, thus dealing higher dmg ( as said, when fighting normal dmg, just the first blow would deal incraased )

P.S. one thing, Correct me if I'm wrong but I have noticed that the urukai are the only units that attack from all a 360 degree angle making them by far the best units to survive a surrounding attack. Did you mod them that way or was that EAs doing. (forgive me but I havn't played the regular game in such a long time since your mod came out so I wound not know).

its a banner ( though it didnt scan the full size ), that i m using for one of my short stories ( novels ? ) about an Uruk Hai shaman placed in the time, short after the battle for Helms Deep.
this is the newer wersion which i made today ( during Managment class ), i kinda needed a little " work on something diferent " ( kinda like you with the Easter eggs ), coz this week is hard for me - soo ( apologizing ) i wasnt able to finish the Rhun speeches, nor the other two elven banners.
-as for the picture - on the right ( not fully scanned ) are skulls and some trinket, the main part is raw skin, or ragged cloth on which is the symbol of Iron Claw (my own personall symbol, thought this one aint wery detailed, coz i draw it with pen not pencil)
the point i posted it here - i kinda thought you migh get some inspiration, or something

You would train a horde of "Isengard Uruk Warriors" from the Uruk-hai Pit. These would come with a sword and shield-bow toggle, and would be the leather-clad Uruks from the Fellowship of the Ring. They might also have the ability to knock trees down when moving through them, as they did so in the books. Could also have a 'scavenger' type ability where resources are gained from destroying enemy resource-producing buildings.
The first upgrade is, for lack of a better name, "Superior Training." This would do several things - it would unlock several things for our formerly basic Uruk Warriors. These would be several more upgrades - pikes, crossbows, and heavy armour. Formations would also be unlocked for them. The basic, standard formation for the Uruk-hai Warriors would be the block. Once this upgrade is purchased, they can no longer toggle between sword and bow.
-If a horde is upgraded with pikes, then they recieve said pikes. They'd also be able to toggle between the block and porcupine formations.
-If a horde is upgraded with crossbows, then they get them. They'd also get access to the arrowhead formation.
-If a horde is not upgraded with either pikes or crossbows, then they retain the sword and shield. They can toggle between block and skirmish line.
Finally, Heavy Armour. This would transform them from the versatile, raiding Uruk Warriors into the Fighting Uruk-hai. Aye, this'd give them the awesome armour from Helm's Deep in the films.
The last upgrade the Uruk Warriors can recieve is "Mark of the White Hand" which acts as a Banner Carrier upgrade - levels them up if needed, also provides a morale and overall stat boost. Also, adds the "-hai" suffix to all tooltips regarding them.
As for Flaming Arrows and Forged Blades - they can be used at any point.
Thanks goes to Kobrakai for helping me iron out these ideas and come up with several new ones
Cheers,
-mike

you intend to upgrade the current ( current - in your topic i mean ) Raiding uruks with either bow pike or into the normal ( stronger ) warior form
the problem is the hp - as wariors have 300 xbows have around 150 and pikes should have 400 if im correct.
. . . . this would have to be solved somehow
now something diferent - WHY ? - why should they knock down trees ? for what purpose, . . . i mean - it absolutely doesnt do anything. The tree will be knocked down, well . . . only + i can see there is propably that you " destroy " possible shelter for ranger/elf like units who can become stealthed near trees
"From this seal shall arise the doom of men,"
"who, in their arrogance, sought to wield our fire as their own."
"Blindly they build their kingdoms upon stolen knowledge and conceit."
"Now they shall be consumed by the very flame they sought to control."

I like the idea. It would bring a little variety to Isengard. Although I think maybe Isengard Uruk Warriors seems too obvious. Since they would be leather-clad what about call them Uruk Raiders? I thought only Lurtz knew how to use a bow. I don't know about giving these suggested Uruks since Wildmen have roughly the same ability. Why not give them the ability to harvest trees they knock over? Also, somewhat in connection didn't Ugluk's party chop wood for the fire? And to what Myrdin said, yes they do all have different hp. Crossbowmen being the lowest. So if it should get implemented, maybe needs a little balancing.

But yes...the current crossbowmen, pikemen, and warriors would be done away with. Though, a minor stat boost depending on which weapon a horde is upgraded wouldn't be misplaced.
Now then...
In the books, the Three Hunters followed the Uruk raiding party extremely easily because the Orcs went out of their way to destroy and trample foliage.
And for bows...Lurtz is a movie-only character. In the books, Ugluk commanded the Orcs under his command to volley arrows at Boromir to kill him because they couldn't kill him in single combat.

But crossbows make sense, in a way..they're easier to train soldiers to use (which fits in with your assumption that things made en-masse suck), are more accurate than a bow, and are stronger. They're also more technologically (sp?) advanced.
