Serious though, I thought the Dwarves had (recurve composite) bows in the Hobbit? But alas, this is off-topicness.

Mannn, this guy Myrdin's got skill at drawing. Keep it up man.

As for mike's idea, then I think the issue is that the Uruk pit will be pretty much empty lol. But yeh, I like the base idea.

I bet this is precisely what you do with Rob, you sneak! :good:

Whereas us guys write essays only to be given a single word: "NO!". And guess who it's from? *Ahem* Yoda *ahem*

Um, that mostly went over my head. And as I'm too lazy to turn around and see where it went, most of that statement will be ignored.

But seriously :p You said you like the base idea...so I assume you don't like the full idea...so I asked if you'd like it better with dwarves.

And yes...that's kinda what I do with rob :good: But, that's the privilege of having msn for you :p

And....it's only partially the wrong topic. We're still discussing the system.

If we want leather-armoured uruks, couldn't we just use that model (the leather-armoured) for uruks before the HA upgrade? It would make the most sense to me because it prevents you from having to make another 'scout' unit for Isengard and it also reduces the need to give a "red-glow" or "gold glow" (<I know that these aren't right for this faction, by the way...) to a HA'd unit.

I've suggested that too...somewhere.
Maybe on one of the other 17 pages...

Hmm, great. And I thought that I came up with a pretty logical/simple idea.

Mike, the only reason that I'm not too fond of your idea (for Isengard atleast) is that (for me) it makes things a little too complicated for this faction.

For the love of...
How is it complicated? You buy one upgrade to get three more.

It is more complicated than just buying the units straight off.

I'm sticking with dwarves...I like isengard the way it is atm :p

Then make some suggestions for Dwarves :p such as how to adapt this system to them.
In that topic.

Not complicated. That was the wrong word, sorry.

I can't put words to my reasoning, but in the end it boils down to the fact that I just don't think that it suits Isengard. It brings a whole new dynamic to Isengard - a dynamic that Isengard truly doesn't need in this mod (or so I think). Isengard already has several things for the player go off on, if you know what I mean. So I think that adding this idea would just 'crowd' the faction for the player.

^Like I said before, I'm not putting this in the right words at all.

Just saw your latest post. Maybe you should adapt it to the dwarves since it is your idea (I just feel that you would be the one who would adapt it accurately... I swear, that I'm not trying to shove off the responsibility :p) and post it there?

Erm..I'm the one pushing for dwarves :p Mike/Elfhelm won't exactly be too happy with adapting his idea :good:

And yeah...I just don't think it fits isengard as much as it would others.

*goes off to dwarf thread*

I don't think it's necessary either, at least for Isengard. As for the Dwarves, I've already given ideas on how to make them more special and unique in their thread.

Can't we have both things?

Enough spam here....to steal the spotlight from elfhelm's idea (:p) I propose a shield uruks unit for isengard...basically those uruks with the huge shields that marched up the causeway in helms deep and protected the rams...they'd be nearly invincible to arrows, weaker to melee, and could combo horde with almost anything, including rams, to make them uber protected.

They could replace deathbringers if we wanted...

Mike you dont know me but I'm sticking with your idea I like it better. Its about time someone thought about changing around the Isengard faction just a tad.and I think that idea would work well with the white hand!

In my opinion, isengard is the faction that least needs changing. EA actually did a reasonably decent job with them.

@yoda; that was just a formation of Uruk-hai warriors with shields and swords. However, some Wild Men of Dunland did the same in the books :p
@lorphreak; nice name. And thanks for the support :good:
