Not double post.

I partly came up with this idea from a dream two nights ago. ^_^
Instead of the current Wizard's Tower atm, how about this:
you buy the upgrade like you always do.
After it's complete, you click on the fortress.
You click on the the lightning bolt icon like normal but instead there is a a timer and you hear Saruman doing that chant he did in FOTR, all players hearing it.
After the timer is done you have a set number of bolts you can shoot to the ground, 1 per "target."
Any thoughts?

EDIT: Just popped into my head. Anyone think Wormtongue isn't fitting for a WOTR Army Leader? Maybe replace him with Ugluk?

I'm stuck with the Wizard's Tower idea. But your idea could be interesting to play around with...

I agree with you on Wormtongue though. I think he should be replaced by Wulf instead of an Uruk. I am the kind of person that tries to keep "The Wildmen with a Wildman leader" in WOTR.

Wildmen with Wulf, eh? I can go with that. :p I'm kind of like that too with any WOTR army leader. I like to build my armies around the leader.
Thought of an addition to my Wizard's Tower idea, after selecting the target, there's a delay like normal, then down goes a bolt. ^_^

I think that Rob is making it so that any hero can lead an army (?). But don't quote me on it though!

I have read about it somewhere a while back, I wonder if it will be implemented fully after testing out bugs i.e custom heroes like Hama, Damrod, and Radagast to name a few.

i really loved that chant, damn i loved the whole scene, i like the idea of every1 hearing it, but i dont get your point with 1 per target.

and yeah wormtounge sux, no matter if its in WOTR or skirmish, he should be replaced ( wotr ) by Ugluk ( as it was him who led the Isengard army at Helms Deep )

Hmm, perhaps target isn't a good word to use. :umad: How about after clicking on it when it's done building, click on pathable location? Yay for overly used power instructions. :p

@Myrdin <:) That was who it was at Helm's Deep?! I've been wondering who that was.

Myrdin bit off topic, but as far I know, Ugluk is the guy that leads the uruks further, afther lurtz was killed, then he was killed by the rohirim;) correct me if I'm wrong, further go on:)

The wizard tower idea is neat! just have the chant play while the lightning is striking the ground. Or change the lightning to an avalanche, or have both lightning and then an avalanche, :umad:

I hate the uruk deathbringers Im all for a tower shield Uruk unit

I've been for avalanch 25pp forever!

I still think wizard tower should be useless unless garisoned by saruman, and then he gets super buffed up powers.

That sounds good to me yoda. I very much dislike the dragon powers in the Isengard power tree. I go for avalanche and tornado, weather stuff just seams to fit much better.

I'd say have one be Avalanche and the other Lightning Strike (on a larger scale, of course).

Yes, I'm none too thrilled with the Dragon powers for Isengard either. :umad: Lightning and Avalanche I could go with.

Could that work as a replacement for the wizards tower spell instead? kinda reminds me of Sarumans speech before the uruks march from Isengard to helms deep.

I'm still with that idea. In fact I mentioned that Saruman should get the more powerful lightning strike a few pages back because he's underpowered.

Lighting strike . . . ? Awalanche . . . . ? wtf ?! this things wouldnt happen if there wouldbnte be that thunderstorm

soo i again remind you of the Thundercloud power, that we ( me and dojob ) put togather.

And as for the Helms Deep - im sure it was Ugluk since i read that somewhere on Wikipedia. I know he led the Uruks to get the ring, but iirc it was him at HD.

I can't understand what the first two sentences of your post say, Myrdin.
As for the third, that's incorrect - Ugluk was the leader of the 'Uruk raiding party' in the books that was sent by Saruman to intercept the Fellowship of the Ring at Amon Hen. He commanded his forces to fire a volley of arrows at Boromir to slay him and capture the Hobbits. Anyway, in the films, it's alluded that he took control of the Uruk-hai on their way back to Isengard, but was slain personally by Eomer when his outlaw eored ambushed them.
So...yes. He didn't lead the army of Isengard that laid siege to Helm's Deep. Because he was dead for some time before it occurred.
EDIT: And no "lore bending" will bring him back. EVAR!!!!!
Cheers,
-mike
