I'm pretty sure you should take what the books say over what Wikipedia says.

its no secret that wikipedia is not always 100% correct...

i like the uruk buff power that yoda mentioned as a replacement for a dragon power. it would be a good 25pp power. especially if prefaced with some sort of speech from saruman. also agreed that the wizard tower should be garrisoned by saruman and he should get ridiculously buffed by that (to counter the exorbitant costs that this system would incur).

Maybe the same actor then? Because they do look quite similar! But lore-wise, Mike's got it in the bag.

Myrdin, I don't even want to go back to Saruman's Lightning cloud because:

1. It would have the same effect as a buffed lightning spell. It can just travel. And besides there would be a timer and you would most likely finish up in one area and it will be done. Therefore it would have the same effect, essentially. The buffed lightning strike idea would just be faster and it would get the job done in less time.

and

2. People are probably getting sick of reading about Saruman. And I feel that we've discussed what needed to be discussed a few pages back.

Bah, it would be good because instead of 1 lightning strike (or lightning strikes in 1 small area), it would have a series of lightning strikes over a wide area that could move and the cloud would last enough to travel at least a little bit further than the area that it started in. The only problem is getting the cloud effects to work.

A buffed lightning is unoriginal as a 25pp power since it's already used by the wizard tower, unless ofc ur just asking for a buff for the tower 1 which is reasonable.

cloud would be better to attack enemy armies and not just bases because it can move to follow them or cut them off. also a bit more interesting than just lightning because you could add a rain effect that might debuff enemy units or slow them down/scare them something like that.

For the buffed lightning strike I'm talking about Saruman's level 10 power. Not as a 25pp power.

o, i see. i was speaking of it as a 25 pp power...
then buffed lightning works better for saruman's level 10 power.

I think Isengard should be the only faction with pikes. That made Isengard unique. Goblin pikes are cool but they would look better as spearmen or you can weaken them a little because they seem just strong as Urukai. I would think Urukai should be stronger than goblins.

p.s. Great job Rob and team. Keep it up.

Yeah good lord, that would be so horrible and besides it's not like they're the only faction that ever used them; you can't think of a good reason for Mordor not to have pikes since they did in the movies and probably books, too.

Actually, Isengard is the only military force said to use pikes in warfare. Ever. Well, the Gondolindhrim are a little ambiguous..anyway.
Yes. They're also the only faction shown to use them in the films, as well.
However, I agree that it shouldn't be shown as such ingame. Unfortunately.

No, Mordor used them, too. Remember "Pikes in front, archers behind"?

That's what was said, but that's not what they were. The 'pikes' wielded by the Orcs sent to the front were almost identical to the halberd-like weapons of the Goblin Faction's "pikemen".

That's true, they used some weird poorly made short halberds and by the time the rohirrim are charging the archers get in the front :p

My bad I thought Isengard were the only faction(in the game not movie seeing this is a modification of the game) that used pikes and the other factions had spearmen. Guess I was wrong.

no need to apologize, as our lore master mike, told you you were right.
But unfortunately it would change the whole rockpaperscizors system if Isen was the only one with pikes.
and yeah, the " things " mordor had, cant be called pikes, poor made halberd that is

While surely out of the thousands upon thousands of them there must have been quite a few with pikes even if a lot of them had crappy halberds/pitchforks/whatever, they're still in the pike family.
