well orcs used a jumble of different things for both armoring themselves and arming themselves. so it is entirely possible taht a few of them had actual pikes but for the most part they probably were not pikes but halberds, spears, pitchforks, etc.
definitely leave it as it is now for gameplay's sake however because it would op isengard ridiculously against cavalry (especially if the spear/pike system mike proposed is put into place).
although, i cant think of any good factions that have pikes. all im thinking of is goblins, mordor, and isengard. are there any good factions with pikes?

dalf, mordor and gob pikes are only good, coz they are made from uruks
they need to be nerfed drastically ( especially goblin ones )

whats most funny that the urukhai units are pretty small compared to other infantry units, these guys should be a bit taller than normal humans ( according to movie, dunno what about the lore itself ), or at least as same as them. Kinda weird when gobo pikes oversize the Uruk ones ;)

them using the uruk pikemen model has nothing to do with the fact that they are strong, it is the fact that they are pikes vs spears. they are priced accordingly (around 400-450 i believe) and are fine imo.

Agreed as well. Uruk Pikemen could use a size increase, while Orc pikemen should have a decrease in their pike length. I doubt they could effectively wield something that big. :p

Yes please! The pikes on the orcs have always bothered me and I've always meant to do a post on that.

youre not getting my point.
goblins and mordor are spammy races, and all of theyre units follow this line, cheap, weak and spamm. Ururks on the other hand are heavy armored expensive units that can do a lot in small numbers.

the thing is, IT IS wery disturbing to see 450 g. goblin pikeman ( just reskinned uruks ), to be strong as uruk pikeman, with the same price. when ALL other basic units are cheap and weak. I WANT those units to fit the race, i want goblins to act like goblins, not like discuised uruk hai. Make the pikes 150 resourc. and 150 hp ( wariors have 50 ), increase batt size by +5 and ill be FULLY satisfied - same goes for mordor pikeman, just with diferent stats and price. I just feal like " this is NOT right " when i see this guys take it one on one with uruk pikeman, its like seeing mirror fight with diferent colours.

and if nothing changes ( not right now, but at least add it to " wishlist " ) then you are no better then EA with theyre crappy made addon (Rotwk, which quality was NOT sufficient compared to the previous game), and i really do think that you put more work and mind in this mod then they did in theyre game, soo pleasse DONT dissapoint me/us ( fans of the game )

That's true. Goblin Pikemen don't fit goblins at all. Goblin archers and swordsmen can hardly stay still for more than one second (just look at them while they are selected, it's funny how they move up and down) while pikemen look organised and disciplined.

I had an idea, know one of my favorite parts in the movie is when the Uruk-hai start chanting. I have always thought it would be cool if you could implement an ability where uruk-hai can chant. It would work like a leadership. The longer you do it the longer the leadership last. Now also the more Uruk-hai you have in one spot doing it the faster it goes up. Of course to ballance they have to be standing still to do it.

if you would scroll back like 8+ sites, i proposed a bloodlust abylity ( from the part at helms deep where all uruks start smashing their armor, and go in rage ), a passive buff, that would give them doubled first blow every time they enter combat.

combat, doubled first blow, you kill enemy and get moving, again combat, again doubled, . . . etc etc.

That is what I was thinking. A bloodlust thing. That bloodlust is what made them crazy insane. The reason they used that sword-ax they did.

we didnt mean any pp, soo dont even try.

but yeah war chant add 50% dmg soo its basically the same. But we ment a passive power for every single Uruk hai unit.
i think it would make them unique, since, you cant see the any other race soo thrilled before a figth as these guys were, not even mordor got soo crazy pumped up when they waited for battle
Uruks are kinda like Orcs from Warcraft ( from when Mannoroth had power over them )

btw, i d really d love to see the " Heroes of White Hand " 15 pp ingame, everyone knows Isen. heroes could use some buffing, and to make it fair you just have to pay for it 15pp

Gondor has that, and elves might get something like it, and it doesn't fit isengard.

Yes, the mapwide buff.

Elves have a bunch of low and heavy armor skins we have no idea what to do with.

Isengard's heroes rarely matter at all, and they are focused on units and hordes, not the individual hero.
