Meh, it would be easy and sensible if we do as Scryer said and just have "uruk scouts" be normal uruks without the heavy armor upgrade.

Yeah, it was a scout of Warg Riders. Lurtz's companions were never referred to as scouts, actually

I still think the bowing to Rhiea idea is good.

Yeah but for the scout topic, it was just a suggestion since scouts were at least used in some form in the movies

So... had an idea the other day (about when yoda's Gondorian foot cavalry was stampeding into my base) about an idea for Isengard. Basically, it would be mines buried underground throughout your base. That's an easy way to explain it, though ;) a better way would be Saruman's defenses in the books which he used against the Ents - massive deposits of incendiary gases and "fires of Orthanc" (as Aragorn put it) that he was somehow able to trigger safely from inside his Tower. So yeah. Maybe it could be another of his powers when the White Wizard stows away in his fortress?

It figures. Maybe that's why he wanted two small hobbits to be brought to his citadel. :p

Oh but I love the way that Wulf's axes do knockback. It looks so cool.

Maybe Ugluk could have a Lvl.10 power? He's the type you'd expect to have one or two useful early/mid-game abilities and one useful one he can use if he ever gets to Lvl.10, like Arwen and the Flood power (btw, she needs a rethink when it comes to powers. cavalry leadership at the least). I was thinking maybe Invincibility or a powerful Cripple Strike.

Hasfusel. I have already done a suggestion for an Arwen re-mix. It's not too far from the end of the "Elves" thread I think..

OT alert... Might edit this later and make it seem relatively on topic...

It's a bit older, but...

IIRC, uruk scouts are gonna be replacing the deathbringers which everyone hates...

Aaaamen. Thank you very much for this really necessary change. :p

Uruk-Hai scouts always fit as an elite-unit bound to Lurtz
But if you rather search a hero-horde to deal some damage with, then I would suggest to replace the un-lotr-like deathbringers with Uruk-Hai Captains. They weren't mentioned explicit in the movies, but they had concepts for the army leaders.
They could be bigger Uruks with two different looks.

The first could look like the bawling captain from Helms Deep. One bigger uruk without helmet and big shoulder-plates:

The second may have a helmet like the berserkers, but with a great... Uhm, no idea how it's called in english. ^^''
http://www.mithaearo...hedip/pic10.jpg
The big round metall thingy on the helmet.

That would be some ideas from a great freak of the white hand. ;)

They're scouts. If they get put in at all, they'll be basic unheavyarmored uruks. Shield uruks are the eventual plan I think.

Am I just too tired to understand this, or does this simply is no shortform of a longer Sentence at all? ^^

No, I was just a little annoyed cause we probably get 5 people a day asking that and all in different places, yet somehow they never see the answer :p It's just nonsense.

But yeah, I think scouts will just be light armor uruks, and shield uruks will be the elites.

Wow, okay sorry then. ^^'

I was just to happy about the fact that the deathbringers will be replaced, so I just started with some suggestions.
But it's good to hear that there already are detailed plans into this direction. ^^

scouts = early-game units. i dont really see how a scout could be anything else.
shield-uruks = hero-horde. i dont think we've settled on jsut how theyre going to work, but i believe this is the plan in some form.
