Logically, harad would get the horn, and rhun would get the sorceror poison.

How would dumping kegs of poison onto someone's head hurt them? Unless they drank it or it got into an open wound, which are both unlikely.

...Maybe it's Chlorine gas. Heavier than air...

I don't think the people of Rhun had that though.

where do you live buddy ? - 100 years behind apes ? :p

novadays there are weapons your propably newer even heared off, and i dont even have to speak about poisons.

for if i WOULD want to speak about poisons, i could go even further then 1 world war. I could go to medieval and maybe even further.

there were poisons ( created by humans ) that could kill you if they would get on your skin ( no metter where on your body ), and there already poisons that could kill you just by breathing.
and even if you dont want these - mother nature ( ) herself creates many poison gases, that you need just to breathe once, for example, like sour sulfur lakes - if you would breathe some of these - R.I.P.
same with the gases that are lifted from inside earth ( places where magma bursts out and soo )

and after all dont forget we are speaking about fantasy game - where are sorcerrers. Rhun sorcerrers would just get into citadel and from safety cast some deadly poison cloud, that would be soo poisonous, that it would rust down buildings ( 1/3 hp ) and kill any unit that will be afected ( not mhh. just 1/2 of dmg taken, and not heroes, just 1/3 dmg taken ) - this is DPS damage, not ( for example 500 dmg at once, but more like 50 dmg every second with duration of 10 sec. )
-by this i dont mean that you have to select sorcerrers, load them into fortress and use the power - that was just " like it could be if it would be real "

soo basically i dont see any reason why a party of sorcerrers couldnt create deadly magic poison.

As for the Horn of Harad - it has the ability to break down Freezing rain, and Darkness i think . . . thus are but just Evil powers, can you make it soo that it breaks down the Shiny light thiny ( that thing that Good can cast - shiny light everywhere, scarying your units ), soo its a little more fair - that its usefull against good as its against evil

as for the power ( Rhun Fortress ) - just imagine reskinned well of souls - some green wapor gass cloud falls down on the selected area ( and if possible make the units there say the lines they say when they are scared, would look cool )

Glad to see that there's a debate...

What about Variags of Khand?
Faction logo?
Heroes?

(haven't read/found the right topics to give me those answeres...)

Idea for Harad horn: Harad is most like to have horn instead of Rhun(simple fact: harad has Ivory/Oliphant teeth to make horns of). And couln't that horn kinda summon something bad? Sun rays? a deep void, where everyone within falls down? A horde of mumakils?
and when you upgrade your harad fortress with this horn, couldn't it expand upwards?

" Dont be hasty " ( treebeard :p )

everything will be done.

as for the variags of Khand - just scroll few pages back ( discusion started there about it ).
As for the Horn - i like it the way it is ( if it could break the damn Shining Light power, i would be totally satisfied )
though summoning 3 mumakíils would be nice - a power like this is ( propably ) presented ( in the newest w. or maybe other one )

and a way to circle this post of mine - Man of the West have yet to come to " overhaul section ", Elfs suck all time right now ( as you can read at more than one topic )

Nowadays is not middle earth. They did not have stuff like that in middle earth. And stuff like chlorine would kill your own units just as easily as the enemy's.

And Giant burning Fireball (Gorgonoth Spire), that will explode into flaming hell, will just greet your units and wish them good living . . . Yoda :)

You can see where I live in the "location:" tab on my profile, which you yourself have not filled in, Myrdin.
Anyway, all of the sorts of "poisons" you mentioned are either extremely rare, impossible/incredibly difficult to contain in a wooden barrel, or are artificial and only possible of creation in a controlled environment.
"Rhun sorcerors" have nothing to do with Middle-earth. The closest thing one can find to them are obscure mentions of "cults devoted to the worship of Morgoth" in the Far East of Rhun.
So, yeah. Poison = bad idea.
Cheers,

lol, IMHO, the Scorpion Guards are far-fetched enough...but that's my opinion :)
Hmm...the best thing I can think of is boiling oil for anti-melee work.
Another idea...to replace the Scorpions...maybe individual Easterlings could be spawned in the same way? Kind of like the War Sentry, only as a Fortress Upgrade.

Or furry kittens? Hey, it's just a thought :)

No seriously though, the Easterlings skin is becoming too monotonous in its style; currently, I believe that the Soldiers of Rhún and Easterlings have exactly the same skin.

Well, they did mass-produce their arms and armour (in the films at least).
Though the same could be said for the Gondorian units.

So, let's draw up a quick comparison:

- Gondor Archers and Soldiers have the same skin

- Easterlings, Easterling Warriors, Soldiers of Rhún, Rhún Riders and Wain Riders all have the same skin. So just about every unit looks identical, apart from the Rhún Riders and Wain Riders because they are mounted on horses and chariots, respectively.

I was under the impression that the Gondor Soldier skin was used for the Knights, engineers for the Trebuchet, building units (such as the Barracks and Archery Range), etc.

I'm not entirely sure if you're trying to be cheeky now Elfhelm, because what I meant was that every unit in battle looks just about the same, whereas trebuchets are considered a siege unit and the main bulk of it is, you've guessed it, the trebuchet. As with the Knight, then ok I'll give you that.

I'm not trying to be cheeky, no. Simply pointing out the facts as I remember them. I thought that the Soldiers manning the trebuchet used the same skin as the rest of the Soldiers of Gondor, and so was and am saying that their armour (in the movies) was mass-produced, as were the film Easterlings.
I apologize for any confusion.
