Why? It is still fun, and if the RJ team added some new classes and stuff it would be even funner. They shouldn't scrap a cool feature just because two factions can't use it, I still use it for Gondor, Mordor, and all of the other factions.

basically, there are only a certain number of upgrades that the game allows. in order to make new units, heros, buildings and whatnot, rob must use some of these upgrades. unfortunately cah takes up a lot of these and since we cant increase the total number of allowed upgrades we may need to scrap some (if not all) cah features in order to free up space for other things in the mod. there was a poll about this somewhere and it was pretty heavily in favor of scrapping cah if necessary iirc.

Well in that case I would much rather have new units and upgrades. As long as it doesn't delete my Create a Heros.

I hate to say this but I don't think that the team can promise you that your heroes won't be deleted.

And regarding the poll, I definitely voted for the wrong one :( .

I hope they don't get deleted, I have like three create a heros for each faction! Usually forgotten heros like Ugluk, Gorbag, Castamir, and many more.

ill have to agree with dojob on this one. in bfme2 i had like 40+ cah mostly for use online ;) usually i tried to recreate an actual character of middle-earth as well and once i got rj installed i just kinda figured that i had (or would have) all the heros i could handle and would rather jsut not use them anymore.

so yea i couldnt care much less if they got axed.

The problem with CaHs in BFME2 was that they were imbalanced and the majority of people would use Elves whoring out heals and tornadoes or Humans that ran around owning with spear throws. I hardly saw any evil CaHs and the CaHs simply got boring after using and seeing the same powers over and over.

There is confusion.


There is no way the team can delete your custom cahs, we just wont let you use them in rj (if cah gets scrapped). You'll still be able to use them in normal rotwk and other mods.

What's the point of having customs anyway? EA put em' in since they knew no-one liked their crappy heroes.

Only thing I really noticed other than what has been said was that no create a hero can be chosen (other than random) as if it were neither good nor evil. I seem to remember Rohan doing this to in 1.04, but I havent tried them with the BETA.


That is correct. Rohan and Evil Men will not be able to have a CaH - it is a problem with EA only allowing 8 specific factions having CaH. I'm trying to come up with a way to balance that out. Rohan is the only heroes with leadership for heroes, and EvilMen is a faction with two sub-factions that can work together.

I wish there were a way to get the to work together, but I've found nothing so far.

Ever thought of having MotE use evil CAHs instead of Angmar; and Rohan using good CAHs instead of Rohan? That's a perfect idea because not only will the WOTR factions (not the Fall of Arnor ones) have the new Inn system, but they will also have Create-a-hero!!!!! :p

Here's an idea for the Blue Wizards: How about giving Pallando (Romestamo) the switch commandsets ability. The first should be his normal powers (1=Wizard Blast, 2=Teleport allies, 4=Blink, 7=Lighting Sword, 10=Rock Formation), and the second being illusions (for scaring away enemy soldiers) availble at any level (Easterlings, Variags, Corsairs & Rhun-Brigands, Haradrim, and Mumakil & Oliphaunts), while Alatar (Morinehtar) has the following powers: Lvl1=Wizard Blast, Lvl3=Teleport, Lvl5=Blink, Lvl8=Fireball, Lvl10=Blinding Light

I am sorry your last post make no sense. It has been said already there is no way to give MOTE and Rohan CAH. It is hardcoded. The 2nd one is already taken care of and it is already along those lines.

youre not all that far off from what the wizards are in the private beta atm, but they already have powers so it is doubtful that they will be changed.

Anyway, MotE's come a long way since the public beta, though not 100% bug-free, but much better, and improved in numerous ways.

Not quite true.


If we keep cahs, what KP said is being planned... angmar and arnor will be the factions without them. But, we might not even be keeping cahs, sooo...:p
