Linear will be pure books whenever there is confliction. IE: Boromir will die, Gandalf will fall, Eomer will be at helms deep, etc.

Nonlinear will be what thing would be if they happened optimally, and also somewhat how you choose them to go. So you can go with the book/movie path and follow lore with what battles you wage, or you can try it out with different armies.

Give them 2 weeks to a month before even thinking about asking again please. Modders need time to skin/code/map, etc.

You mean no beta until end project, right RA? That's almost what's happening, except for the part about no betas I suspect only 1 more release after this one until all skirmish factions/features are done, and then it's just campaign and new maps.

Ok, good. At least i have a rough estimate as to how long the mod may take now... I'm guessing 8 months to 1.2 years. Balance will be thrown in too, right?

Mostly, but balance can't be perfected unless there are a lot of people playing it > therefore there have to be public beta releases. Some estimation:

~6 months: factions done, all features plugged in.
~1 year: maps finished, campaign done.
~after that: presumable no more full beta's, instead balance fixes and patches.

1 year may be a bit short for campaigns Consider:

Almost every nonlinear mission has to be scripted for any combination of heroes...rob is mostly doing this himself.

Linear missions (of which there are far more of) have to be scripted for three difficulties, which actually isn't too hard, but there's a hell of a lot of them :/

And then we have to do evil campaign too

We already have more mordor units than we no what to do with, and rohan is pretty complete.

But...there may be something like a necromancer for MotE or Angmar...not giving away anything yet though

Make it for Angmar. Angmar always seemed more creepy and mystical to me. Anyways, that guy writes/types in a worse, more cluttered and embaressing form than I did when I was in pre-k.

Crazy at least he comment was something slightly beneficial. Well done on bashing him, I hope you feel big. For someone who rates himself so highly as an intellectual you have no social understandings to either ignore or live with errors in posts. And common sense on an international forum there will be people not common with the English language anyway and in learning a new language to that level is definately an acheivement. If you have nothing worthwhile saying, don't say it as no-one needs to hear it. You may have a high IQ, but there are more important social things to learn and acting like a jackass isn't what most would deem intellectual.
