Lothlórien (Elven) faction

However, I went to Wikipedia to see what it said about them, and it seems they have just as much to do with Men as they do Elves.
Perhaps they have a future in the MOTW faction? (I know they have a lot of heroes as well. Maybe they could be another Aragorn power, or maybe even added to the Dwarves as some sort of elven alliance.)
To read about their hate for orcs because they tortured their mother, perhaps they could have an 'orc bane' power up.
AND
Apparantly they are in the movie, during Aragorn's coronation.
~I think we need to help out with the suggestions a bit more than just saying "because they are cool," guys. Not everyone may agree.
Having said that, if the twins land anywhere in the mod, here are some more power ideas.
A power that randomly activates any available power in the game. You could get fireball, or you could get walk unseen. *Any power. Call it "Observed Behavior"
An assassin power, to make it available to the good faction.
A one shot bow attack "right between the eyes."
"Replantation" Places a mallorn tree on the map to provide cover to the elves. (Once the mallorn tree is a stealth providing building.)
Gemini-A buff given to both brothers when they are together. Or if there was some way the one power made both of them attack together. That would be something. (You could extend this to Gimli and Legolas if you go with a "fellowship" in the gameplay.

boring:P
I love the Mithlond Units, because they are different to the other elves.
And the faction is called "elves" and not "Lothlorien"

EDIT: Mithlond Archers? Mithlond Warriors?
EDIT2:Nazgul?Sulherokhh?What have you think to add for Elves for next Beta?

Secondly, I like mithlond sentries, perhaps they just need a reskin.
Thirdly, i think the roster of elven heroes is fantastic. I especially love Galadriel (non ring version), what a fantastic support unit, and great creative powers that have great relevance to the movies and literature. I agree with the above post that its not necessary to include Elrohir and Elladan. This mod shouldn't be about simply adding units and heroes with no practical function other than to firmly establish how well we know the fiction. Yes, the twins served in the war, but we know little about them to inform us of what practical abilities they could have. I'm not a fan of making up powers without any ounce of support from the movies or books. Moreover, any function they could possibly provide is already filled by other heroes, especially the lower ranked ones like Haldir.
With all that said, I look forward to having Celeborn's powers change so he is less of an Elrond clone.
Overall, unit rosters in 4.5 are practically perfect. Let's not over saturate them unneccessarily.

the ents are some of the most powerful siege units in game! besides they're not just wood, they're live units. agree with the reskinning of the mithlond sentries though. and agree on heroes as well. by the way guest_grubbo, please register, thanks.
Hmmm...they are powerful, sure, but I still think the build way too slowly. Giants have all the same abilities, are easier to control (ents freak out as soon as they get attacked) and seem to build way faster. Other forms of siege may not have melee abilities, and therefore the versatility of function but at least I can get a few within a shorter amount of time.
Had another look at the mithlond sentries. They're not too bad. I'd say retexturing them is a low priority.
And, oh yeah, finally registered :-)
PS I love this mod!

Axed Head and A.I. Coder for S.E.E. and ... stuff
".. coding is basically boring. What's fun is finding out how things work, take them apart and then put them together in ways that were not intended nor even conceived."

why not remove the Elven Tower and replace it with the Mallorn Tree's... it shoud keep the same things as the towers(it should be possible that units will go into it and it should be upgradable)..
maybe use the Mallorn Tree lvl 3 model for it?

and i dont think ELrond fight agains evil with forces on horse like the rohirrim
Oh sure they do! Everyone in Rivendell except Elrond and Arwen were a bunch of cripples, so they had to ride horses to fight the forces of evil.

Common , they must have infantery units , think Infantery figth on one spott and the cavalry are spread around the Elven kingdoms and take down a group of orcs / uruk-hai( for an example , Eomers and his rohirrims take down Ugluks scout group )

And yes, I'm pretty sure Rivendell would've had sentries and guards, but not a standing army. I also like to think Elrond had a hoard of Elven weapons and armour stored up in his armouries, for a last resort.
So, any Elven units out of Rivendell, IMHO, would start off as lightly armoured bow/spearmen, but could get a huuuge heavy armour upgrade.

one of them should have two swords ( like legolas's but bigger and more curved) and one should have a spear or sword i can't remember what they fought with in the books i think it would be good to have a hero with a spear there are none in bfme2
just thinking i know u won't do this but what about making them like a hero unit when u recruit them both of them come out and they fight together and have the same powers

~I can't see Aragorn fighting Arwen (except like a couple would. ) so here's the idea:
"Elven Fair" or "Fair of skin"
Arwen takes no damage from Heroes/Cannot be targeted by Heroes. Could work as a passive ability.
(Even though the Nazgul would probably have no problem killing her.)

and if you want to make fire arrows and magic arrows not available everytime, use the blueish hue for magic arrows? would bring more diversity in using achers in the game

I was thinking, about my Rivendell Elves suggestion, maybe that could/should apply to all Elves.. I can't easily picture them tromping around in wargear most of the time alike to Dwarves and Men
