I HAVE read the book :) I don't think there's anyone on this or any LOTR forum that hasn't read the book

And I'm good with bareback riders... very fast with leathal weapons - but low armor would fit the elvish fighting style and their hero hordes. I just think that the lancers with heavily armored horses doesn't make any sense... especially since the elves that ride the horses in the books (and indeed the movies) don't really control their beasts but trust them to take them where they need to go. *points to Brego and Arwens steed for reference*

*cough*

Pretty good cents.. I like it. I was never really happy with the elven cavalry as they look too much like the Noldor really. Maybe we could make them a light Lorien cavalry, with bare horse backs, and Lorien swordsmen on top (since this faction is mostly represented by Lothlorien anyways)! *noted* ;)

also, how about giving merry and pippin armor.you can make a special ability of them getting a boost to speed or power, and when that ability turns on,merry gets rohan armor, pippin gets gondor armor.

Hi, i was just scanning through the posts and i just wanted to bring up the Huorn thing again - maybe you could replace 'Vigilant Ents' with Huorns? (it would be kinda like an Ent that doesnt have a face - more Treeish

You mean for the fortress keep? That would be a LOT of work for such a detail. I like the Ents... However, we will have a Huorn summon power

Personally, another thing that always bothered me, was that Elves don't have any catapults or archer towers that can be built into their walls. Its weird because the walls are big and fortress-like... yet they've got no defense unless your workers are willing to build thirty or forty SEPARATE archer towers :p

Pretty much. They can hold the enemy off long enough for you to MAYBE get some soldiers and hero's in the path to defend against them - but other than that their about three inches short of useless.

In the books and movies, the elven fortresses neither had walls, catapults or arrow towers, like the Men Of The West and Dwarves had.

In the LOTR trilogy books and movies the elves never left Lothlorian or Rivendell :p

Save for Arwen, the elven attachment to Helms Deep and Elronds sons that is. Almost all the battles in the north involved the dwarves and the men that lived there - with the elves help... sometimes.

I guess if that reply was to me, I miss your point :p
Note, Mirkwood.

But I dont understand if that was to me, how that has anything to do with wanting to put cats and towers on elven walls.... so I am just curious.

Uhm... this is the second time I don't understand your posts...? Was that a question, or a statement?
