I hate to break it to you, Naz, but that list now has become obsolete. New version in staff forum. :p

I love that you hate to break that to me... well at least I love that you broke it, so to speak... :p I can hardly keep up with all those nice updates. Just imagine how little ppl know about the amount of work you do these days

Yeah but I meant the general public... the Players and Fans... that keep screaming for release :p If they really knew how much work you put in to SEE every week, they'd be chocked

That would probably be the case, if they could observe and understand the work involved. :p

I likely dont fully understand the amount of work you put in, but I know its alot, which is why I always try to give you guys the time you need to finish.

All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

Thanks, we appreciate that... =)

Short version: the work I've done, and the work Sûl's doing now and since 2-3 months back, is pretty much corresponding to full time game programming with several hours daily... It's a HUGE amount of work done and still to be done, so... yeah, it takes a while

Pubilshed in the appropriate thread.
I guess we slightly derailed this topic?

Could you possibly point out the "To-Do list for Beta 4.5" thread? Because I haven't seen it. That's actually one of the main reasons why I kept asking. I'm really new at this whole "forum" thing. And I'm all for the "waiting because it gets better and better with time" but there comes a point when it just becomes too awesome to hold back from the S.E.E. fans. I mean, how much time are you going to give us between 4.5 and 5 to really enjoy it? You guys have done sooo much already, and I really can't thank you enough for all you've done for Lord of the Rings fans out there. But how much more do you really want to do before you release the next update?

Check out the ToDo-List for 5.0.
4.5 is Staff-Only right now, but some of the stuff already done you'll find in the news section (Preview List and Screenshots).

How much more do we really want to do before the next update?
As much as needed to satisfyingly conclude the current stuff that we are working on including in that self-same update. :D

Well, you can always have a glance at this... :D

Current list of remaining things to do for 4.5...
Don't ask me to explain everything  It's from the internal coding list...

So what date can I give you? Answer: a.s.a.p - no more, no less.

- SceneryMapFortress Powers (1/6 done)
- Additional AI Spellbook Scripting for more variety of the Hard AI's purchase order (25%)
- Tune Captain Jackson
- Tune Bilbo
- Autoabilites and AI for the rest of the heroes/hordes/units (more and more while working on other stuff)
- Tune Mûmak Mahûd (kind of a cul-de-sac right now)
- Goblin Elite and Goblin Archer PoisonFX
- Mordor needs two more spell points to fully complete their spell book.
- MotW needs three more spell points to fully complete their spell book.
- Flammability of Buildings
- Add Scorpion to Creeps
- Add Creep Variety (BuildVariation) to the rest of the Creeps
- Phantom Model for Dale Barracks needs fixing

There will also most likely be some other thing added as we go along, so don't expect the release just yet. But once again, would you rather have it now and lack some things that we could do or have it later and be stuffed to the max with fixes and additions?

Nazgûl is thoroughly enjoying our merged pre-internal beta release right this moment. In a few days, our betatester will be all over it. Then it will be a hurried bugfixing phase for me, all the while waiting for ('You are a hero to me')-Robert to finish the MordorWall pack for us. Once that is plugged in ...

So, calculate the incalculable ... :good:

Btw, i am a HUGE Cartman fan! Very appropriate! And to make a single offtopic remark regarding his 'awesomeness': Remember 'Towlie and the frantic immersion experience of 'THE OKAMA GAME SPHERE'!!?? :good:
