he was the greatest of the winged dragons and was killed in the great battle between the forces of valinor and the forces of morgoth. this was at the end of the first age so its not time-period applicable anyways.

Why do people have such a fascination with resurrecting characters that have been dead for more than an Age? :xd:

I think it is because everyone really wants to be able to select an age and play that age. I know I would love to re-create some of the events of the First Age, but almost all First Age mods have slowed down or been canceled so the only way people would be able to play them would be as Ring Heroes in the 3rd Age.

If I were not doing RJ and the work here, I would most definitely be looking into helping a First Age mod.

That's certainly a valid point.
However, I for one think that a First Age mod is not really possible inside BFME - the massive numbers of troops used in the Battle of Unnumbered Tears or War of Wrath are simply not able to be represented inside a BFME game. Another problem is the - more common - single unit system that would be required for the urban fighting needed in the first Kinslaying, the earlier efforts of Turin's outlaws, and the exploits of Beren, Fingolfin, Turin, Beleg, etcetera.
But that's just my opinion :xd:
Cheers,
-mike

Lol...not again...

There are two time periods in the mod, wotr, and the fall of arnor.

Arnor + Angmar are in one, the rest are in the wotr. Those two kings were both in the fall of arnor time period.

btw, don't know if this was mentioned at all, but has anyone chosen to remeber that Samwise was able to resist the effects of the ring and relinquish it much easier than Bilbo? (in both the movies and the books.)

yeah thats true

Sam the Great Gardener (lol)

*flower ground ( summons area that gives 100% armor and heals allies )
*Panshaker ( the pan grows like 10times bigger, smashes the ground evocing earthshake)
*Mighty heros shadow ( in M.Morgul, his shadow looked like of huge warior - summons a copy of sam, that has AoE and 10 000 hp for 2 minutes )
*Absolute Loyalty (if hes killed, a mighty blast will affect all friendly units - doubling everything, hp, dmg, armor, attack speed, movement speed, giving slight AoE )

Yup, as I learned in school, he is the protagonist. Or maybe he could be a main side character. Just thought about it, don't really know.

He didn't resist it better than Frodo imo...he never had to wear it, which took a huge toll on Frodo and Bilbo. And Bilbo had it for 60 some years before he actually did give it up, Sam almost gave into temptation when he took it from Frodo in Shelob's Lair.

it has nothing to do with sam's power to resist the ring........ sam is just the normal guy who gets into this BIG problem only because he is loyal to frodo and his loyality makes him special....... tolkien himself said that sam is maybe the most important character of the wotr
