re: the gondor soldiers, WoA has these (or an earlier version of these, with the mapping corrected) and the armour (both chain and plate) looks fantastic, especially when complemented by Eldarions more colourful southern fiefdoms soldiers. And I personally liked the very first of the Noldor warrior skins, but then that may be partly because im so used to seeing the countless blue fabric noldor.

Been a while since I posted anything. Doesn't mean I haven't been skinning - just that I can't show what I've been doing  . I did a few skins for Thorin Oakenshield's First Age mod, which he may choose to show if he wants to.

Anyway, now I do have something I can post: two skins I've done for SDK Kwen's MME mod. I would like to present my Galadhrim Warrior and Gandalf the Grey :p .

Note: These skins are mostly, but not entirely from scratch. The face and hair on both are edited photos, and the boots on the Galadhrim are stolen from Elrond (recolored). Other than that, they're from scratch.

Wow. I think Cahik_ said everything. :p

"The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides
By the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men.
Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will,
Shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness,
For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children.
And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger
Those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers.
And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you."

Very good :p Hoping to see more work of yours soon :good:

Wish granted ;) !

Gandalf the White was a logical follow-on from Gandalf the Grey - I was able to re-use most of the Grey skin and just change things like the texture of the cloth (the tunic is quilted in the correct pattern, for instance) and the colors. Again, entirely from scratch except for the face, hair, and, in this case, the head of the staff. I tried to do a from-scratch staff, but gave up after several failed attempts  .

Like the others, this is for MME.

Oh yes, I know the sleeves are somewhat over-creased. I may fix this or I may not - it depends how it looks when it's ingame.

Wuhuu, how many do I have left ? 2 ? :good:
Gandalf the White looks quite good :p
But I noticed one thing, I dont know if you have noticed but Gandalf the Grey's hat is actually blue(ish) so, I dont know if you want to change that...
Oh wait, never mind about this, just remembered that it has to stay Grey because of Ea's stupid mapping :p

That Galadhrim is exactly, to the letter, how I painted my GW elves. Awesome job.

I'm afraid I don't see what details you're referring to. I used the photos in the design galleries in the TT EE Appendices for my reference. From that pic you linked to, the only difference I can see between it and my skin is that my skin lacks a cloak (which I can't fix), doesn't have an opening on the neck (which would be mostly covered by beard), and doesn't have a silky texture on the underskirt (which wasn't present in the pics I referenced). Were there some other details you thought were missing?

I think I'll fix that over-folding on the sleeve - it may have looked good on GtG, but not on GtW.

But I noticed one thing, I dont know if you have noticed but Gandalf the Grey's hat is actually blue(ish) so, I dont know if you want to change that...

Yeah, I hate that mapping :p . I would have made the hat blue if I could have.

only the high details on the silky undershirt is what I was reffering too  And the fact that your undershirt is extremly foldy compared to the real deal...

Really impressive, I do agree that the sleeves are a little too folded on Gandalf though... the contrast also seems very rigid on the folds, however I'm guessing that is because most of the game is played zoomed out.
He who bears skill but lacks effort, makes himself inferior to those who have no skill but try nonetheless.
