I've fixed the sleeves - that is to say, I made all the creases much less noticeable and regular. I'll post a new render after I do something about the creases on the tunic.

*bump*

Here's the (hopefully) improved Gandalf the White. I lessened the creases on the tunic (I tried removing them entirely, but it looked weird), and also added some little details for the detail freaks: the proper quilting pattern on the tunic, embroidery on the sleeve cuffs, and the opening on the front of his tunic. I even added laces on the shirt inside that opening, but they're basically invisible :crazed: .

Something new from me: Boromir. I did this skin on request for Kwen's MME Mod, and while in some ways I've enjoyed the challenge of it, in other ways it's been a somewhat painful experience :rolleyes: . Boromir's costume is incredibly intricate and difficult to duplicate - this skin took me about 8 or 9 hours to complete, spread over 4 or 5 days.

The skin is entirely from scratch, except for the face and hair, which are heavily edited photos. At times I wished I was working on a 1024x1024 skin instead of 512x512 - it would have made the minuscule details easier to manage ^_^ .

Anyway, enjoy, and by all means criticize away! I try to improve with each skin, and this one was a big jump. The next on my list of stuff for Kwen is Faramir, but after his brother, he should be really easy :grin: .

It looks good. Though you should add more shadows.. Like where the blue-ish meets the red cloth..
Other than that ; Great work :rolleyes:

I actually did put shadows there...unless EA's annoying mapping cut that bit of the skin out :grin: . I was trying to avoid my usual tendency to make shadows too dark; maybe I went too far in the other direction :rolleyes: .

Hm, been forever since I posted something in this thread.

Anyway, here's a little something: Glorfindel.

Posted Image

Mostly kitbashed together from other Elven skins I've done, and intended primarily for my own personal use. I wanted to get rid of the hideous shoulder horns, but making that part of the skin transparent leaves two gaping holes in his shoulders, and I don't have any modeling skills, so I can't remove them properly. If I'd been able to remove them, I would have done him completely unarmored, but it's impossible to pass those things off as anything but metal. And if there's metal spikes on his shoulders, there need to be pauldrons to attach them to, and if there are pauldrons, there needs to be at least a breastplate as well, or they look weird...hence my semi-armored rendition of the character.

Anyway, like I said, it's mostly just to replace EA's skin in my own copy, so I don't have to look at their white-haired, over-armored eyesore when I'm playing. Still, if anyone wants it for a mod, send a PM my way.

P.S. - to any coders who might read this, how do you turn off team colors? I can't see my skins ingame under all the gaudy blotches EA slapped on them :p .

To run off house color, find this code on your unit:

Draw = W3DScriptedModelDraw ModuleTag_DRAW
		OkToChangeModelColor = Yes
	StaticModelLODMode = yes; Will append M or L to the skin name depending on GameLOD

and change:

OkToChangeModelColor = Yes

TO

OkToChangeModelColor = No

And also since you mentioned it, i could use some skins for my personal mod so you can decide whether to send me them or not.

Sorry for the double post.

A few more reskins: EA's Lorien Warrior and Archer. Enjoy :p !

Posted Image Posted Image

Armor is pulled from the Galadhrim I made for MME, face, hair, hands, and boots are the original skin, everything else is from scratch.

Again, mainly for my personal use, but if anyone wants it (and Kwen doesn't appear with objections), just ask. Oh yeah, and if you want the TGAs, PM your email address.

Thanks :good: . Comments are always appreciated.

Here's another one: I reworked the Mithlond Sentry skin I did for MME to fit EA's model:

Posted Image

Again, for personal use, and PM if you'd like it in your mod.

I've got at least half the Elven faction reskinned now, and most of Gondor is already done. If I finish them both, I may release some sort of mini-reskin-mod. Just a thought.
