Also, the cavalry changes - they are stronger vs. infantry and archers, and when combined with the flanking bonus they are a force to be reckoned with. So always remember, you'll be SOOO much stronger trampling from the rear than from the front.

Which is why it will be important to get a good group of balance beta testers, to hammer it out. I'll be have beta sign-ups soon, so watch for the post. I've just released a sneak peak at the beta for current beta testers.

and i think same goes for RJ, if the orig, game had some bad balancing, its not like RJ cant balance that out for it
"From this seal shall arise the doom of men,"
"who, in their arrogance, sought to wield our fire as their own."
"Blindly they build their kingdoms upon stolen knowledge and conceit."
"Now they shall be consumed by the very flame they sought to control."
"Let the echoes of doom resound across this wretched world, that all who live may hear them and despair."
"Tremble, mortals, and despair! Doom has come to this world!"

myrdin, im not sure what you're talking about because no one ever said anything about making cavalry able to defeat pikes or level 10 guardians in 1 shot. and they definitely cant trample heros, they have never been able to.

The bug that he is talking about - in RotWK when it came out or in 2.01, the lindon horse archers had problems with trample - basically unlimited trample. This should have been removed in RJ, and if it is still there they will be fixed, rest assured.
As for balance, I've made some pretty hefty changes to the balance. Finally, I think I've gotten cavalry much closer to where I want to be with Cavalry regaining the strength from BFME1. Also, each level you gain will have a more noticable impact. For some reason EA roughly doubled many of the values in the game for BFME2 from BFME1, but left the level ups alone and crush damage alone. They also nearly tripled many of the pike's revenge weapons, adding pikes to level 1 structures and basically adding the counter for the most expensive units at about 1/3 their cost........It's just a gameplay I don't care for as much as BFME1.
Anyway back on topic......

Yes, anyone who is a current beta tester will remain, though I'll be changing the password on the beta forum as there are a couple of beta testers that never really showed up except to download.......argh......

Hope I'm still included .

'The Twilight of Man is nigh, and coming ever closer. The days have shortened into cold, forlorn darkness and sunrise to sundown is a bitter struggle for survival. But do not think for a moment that we shall not fight. We shall not go quietly into the dusk. We shall not throw down arms and flee, or surrender. We will go on, we will not falter. And even should we die, we shall make an end that will be remembered for thousands of years. For beautiful Arnor that is, for glorious Númenor that was! We are the Dúnedain, we are the Men of the North, and our foes will remember our steel!'
