But, realistically speaking, they would not be able to kill a troll alone, lest they were a leader, and even then, they would have to rely off of skill and smarts, not brute strength, as a troll would probably crush them if they tried that. I can see their leaders killing trolls but not the common units being giants 2x the size of a normal man.

I didn't say that...I said they would, if included, act like Trolls or Berserkers; hard-hitting single units.

If you want to compare them to a hard-hitting single unit, compare them to something like a MHH. I think they would make a great inn fac along with the Elves, though. Unless that spot has been taken by the Galadhrim. I think the Galadhrim would fit the role better, though for several reasons. One, they are Elves and the inn fac would be Elves. Two, who marched to Helm's Deep and to aid Arnor? The Galadhrim! But please do something about Arwen's maidens, though... I don't think that Arwen would send her little hair and dress girls out with horses and sword and let them get slaughtered. If you're going to make them, make Arwen an inn hero and having Arwen on the battlefield being a pre requisite. I can see why they would be trained, but not them just randomly going out to battle without her. And even then, she would most likely be sent out with a small elite guard of Galadhrim or Noldor, pending on who had visitation time: Daddy or Gram Gramms & Pappy. It depends on who had visitation time, Elrond and Celeborn/Galadrial hate each other, you know... And Elrond divorced Celebrian and made her die of a broken heart (not literally speaking for either one).

I'm pretty sure youve got your lore mixed up as Galadriel and Elrond certainly dont hate each other . And Celebrian didnt even die. She was captured and poisoned by orcs, and elladan and Elohir rescued her from them. Elrond healed her, but Middle earth had lost all beauty to her and so she traveled over the sea. (EDIT: this is in appendix B: tale of years, year 2509 of the third age)

Despair is only for those who see the end beyond all doubt. We do not. It is wisdom to recognize necessity, when all other courses have been weighed, though as folly it may appear to those who cling to false hope. Well, let folly be our cloak, a veil before the eyes of the Enemy! For he is very wise, and weighs all things to a nicety in the scales of his malice. But the only measure that he knows is desire, desire for power; and so he judges all hearts. Into his heart the thought will not enter that any will refuse it, that having the Ring we may seek to destroy it. If we seek this, we shall put him out of reckoning.

It was a joke... Did I not say that? In fact, Galadrial, Celeborn and Elrond were all related by blood and can trace their ancestory back to a single relative along the lines of their Teleri/Sindarin heratige (Elwe, Olwe, and Elmo's unnamed father). At the end, I wrote (not literally speaking for either one), so that meens what I was saying is commedy and meant to make you laugh (though it was crappy and so therefore you probably didn't). I'm not ignorant, believe me.
Also, Elves CAN NOT divorce and pretty much (not literally speaking, of course [well, maybe they do]) but for raping someone or something like that, there are BIG BIG penalties... Like death and damnation in the Halls of Mandos or what not.
P.S. Yoda, if you look at when I edited and when you posted and what you posted as quote, you will find that you took it out of context, and I find that highly offensive

Ok, I think we all need to hold our horses for a bit, as this is beginning to get off topic...Not quite that far off just yet, but just as a preventative measure, just so that this doesn't turn into something bad...

So errrr what was we talking about then? Mirkwood Fortress was it? Well I hope it turns out to be something completely unique (and matching the description of the book in ways).

Out of context? You gave me no context to put it in. How am I supposed to know if you're being sarcastic or not? Despite my comment, I have heard stupider things from people...

And with that, I'm finished  I think everyone is eagerly awaiting the mirkwood fortres...they're gonna be my favorites I think.

is it just me or is it getting hard to cut the crap from the important stuff round here, and the mirkwood fortress will be awesome, i think would be cool if it had like a border patrol sort of speak, so you have the fortress and then maybe a couple o meters away from the fortress there would be tree watch towers, with them mirkwood archers in them. i think it would work well with there stealthy nature, the enemy would come in see the fortress charge and get taken out by arrow fire out of these ramdom trees haha.

p.s hi yoda warrior havent spoken to you in a while, dam do i sound old haha

OI, my favourites.

;)

Btw, are any ideas needed for the fortress upgrades and/or expansions? Just so we can get brainstorming you know.

EDIT: Ehh, wait- Harad and Mirkwood are gonna be my favourites. But please, no-one digress.

I don't think so...not yet anyway.

Right now the team is:

Working on patching evil men up
Making new maps
Balancing
Leadership stuff

Elves are kinda out of focus at the moment  Only lorien will be fully complete for 1.06, but you'll still get to summon mirkwood and rivendell units.

rob is trying to make everything work, methinks. I believe that by the next release rob wants to have most of the units for the Elves as a whole ready, along with the other factions, and what not.

But again, I think we should keep from digressing as much as possible.

I'm assuming that Mirkwood is least complete (around maybe 40%) and Rivendell is about 70% complete?

Also, out of context was a little off what I was getting at. On the quote, you deleted a large amount of what I said. This is what I'm talking about:

If you want to compare them to a hard-hitting single unit, compare them to something like a MHH. I think they would make Elrond and Celeborn/Galadrial hate each other, you know...

Look familiar? Then go through and read my article... Did you read anything of that sort in there? Also, please, nobody else comment, I just like having the last word . That, and I don't want people thinking that what I said was what I literally believe (which is far from it).

Will the Ai be working for the Elves come the release for WOTR and RTS battles?

Probably. People don't really play the mod online unless they organize matches.

im not sure i would count on rob doing the elven ai until the other 2 subfactions work; he would just end up redoing it otherwise

Hopefully, he'll release the mod with the Elven AI working, and for the things that don't work (like whole sub-facs), it wouldn't touch them and waste resources and time. But I'm looking forward to seeing everything done in the Elves and a new living world map (as well as the WotR flaws removed) in the next released. Hopefully, it won't take more than the rest of the summer.

LWM might not make it...I'm not sure what the status of rob's coding on that is, and we still need maps for every territory.
